What are the best and worst places? Is this (updated) snow day map pretty good for our state?https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/com...cancel_school/

For the Willamette Valley it seems spot on and any more snow a lot more then schools shut down though ironically our last big snowfall in 2016 there weren't any serious accidents just some vehicles stalled on the stupid bridges over Salem.

A few decades back, 2 was enough for the Medford schools to call the day off.

But they have near zero plows, and very little experience in driving in snow.

In Klamath Falls, where it actually snows, we never got a day off. Throwing javelin in the snow is fun!

I was in Seattle a few years back, about 3 inches, and I-5 was empty. The Navy van we were in was chained up. As we walked along the now clear 45 degree Fahrenheit streets 3 hours later with no snow in sight anywhere, to enjoy a seafood dinner, we were sad that they were all closed, because they sent everyone home due to weather. The news was extended about 5 minutes so they could scroll through a graphic of every school that was closed the next day. Would have been faster to list the few that were open.

Sad.
