Videos, meh!
I used to be a video/photo guy and put hundreds of hours through a variety of computers, but now that we have iPads at work, I just use them. iMovie works well enough if it has to be pretty, and an old DV camcorder does for extended projects. Most of what I video is (trivial but) privileged and not suitable for social media anyway.

I recently picked up a Logitech web cam and Using Movie Maker went ahead and recorded my will for my wife. It was a C310, it has pretty good resolution and with MM I was able to make quite a nice video.

Movie Maker used to be crap (imo). But the newer version is much better, more intuitive.

I used premiere pro to make my newest video -> Ultimate EDC Survival Kit

It's a pretty great editor but, i'm not sure if it's worth the price. There are a ton of free options available that I feel would work just fine for most videos.

All of my videos are filmed using my iPhone 6 which I think is just about as good as you can get for the size of the camera and quality. It also lets me film while on the go.

Default VideoStudio

I used the free Microsoft movie maker for awhile then I purchased Corel VideoStudio X9 for around $70 and it was worth it. A bit of a learning curve compared to Microsoft but it was not bad, plenty of getting started videos to help.
