Not usually. But I do have a couple options. Bought an AR7 for a survival rifle on trips. Folding stock SKS if I have any concerns.

Always a 12 ga. pump with a 50 shell bandolier. Shells are about 10 slugs, the same in bird shot and the rest in 00.
My Personal survival kit has other firearms as well and its always with me, but the shotty stays in the vehicle. Its my AR...Always Ready...corny but true.

Usually have a single shot shotgun aboard the vehicle unless I am headed to the VA hospital. Then it goes in a friend's shop while I am going onto the grounds, and I pick it up before I head home.

Hwody!

I'm a fulltime RVer so we travel all the time. I have a AR pistol 556 that I carry, and recently also purchased a Kel Tec Sub 2000 40 cal gen 2. We where recently near the problems with Black Lies Matter in Charlotte, NC. in a RV campground so I choose to be repaired to the deal any situation it the need arises if need be.

I tried to but in NC a jacket accidentally tossed over the rifle is a concealed weapon charge. To much grey area about what's easily accesable and what's a locked container here. The AR pistol with a blade brace is a much better route if I was going to carry a rifle.
Wish I had one.

My get home bag has a Henry AR7 and a Ruger SR22 in it. Both tucked out of sight in the main compartment of the pack. In a laptop bag I have my KelTec Sub 2000 in Glock 9mm flavor and a Glock 17 handgun in it as well. I do not usually carry both in the car at the same time unless going a good distance away from home.

The snub nose S&W model 638 is always in my pocket.

I don't usually currently, but since I'll hopefully be moving to a house that is over 50 miles away from my work, I'll be adding one.
Just got an AR pistol (5.56) set up, it fits into my tennis racket case without being broken down. Minimalist chest rig and small case of ammo will go in the trunk with it. Pistol will be taken out of the trunk after getting home from work, put into trunk on the way to work, yeah it'll probably be annoying but this is also my HD gun.
Prior to this, whenever the wife and I made road trips to a place where we'd be away from home for a night, my AR and supporting gear went into the trunk for the trip.
This all is in addition to the compact pistol and EDC gear that I carry with me everyday.

What are the laws in Florida concerning carrying rifles? I bought a Keltec SU16c just to keep as a truck gun.. I have a Florida CWP, but never knew the long gun laws. Can someone point me where to go? Thanks!

Same as "gun laws"

Biggest issue is the legality And Gray area on concealed vs not concealed

if you have your cwp you're good. If you don't have it, go get it. Otherwise no special laws for long guns I'm aware of.

Usually one or 2 that don't cost a whole lot. My regular is an old Savage pump 12 gauge, with a mix of shells. Bought a few as a package just to ride along.

Barrels cut short, slightly shortened stock on one refinished a bit with a "flip flop" recoil pad glued on. Will refinish the other one day, and the other doesn't seem like it feeds nice enough to get included.

Regular hunting season, I usually ride with a cheap Cooey .22, and another rifle in an intermediate "big game" chambering.

I've carried an 870 clone, a 303 SMLE, and an AR in my truck.
Depends on my mood.

As a city person who mostly drives only when traveling into the country for day trips to fish, hunt, hike and scout future hunting areas or visit the range, I usually have something with me.

Often it is just a .22 AR7 or 10/22, but sometimes I'll have a Kel Tec Sub2K in 9mm, a .223 rifle or shotgun. If I end up getting my trappers license this winter I will be more inclined to have a .223 with me more regularly as we have decent numbers of wolves and coyotes. A recent expansion of the bear season to include a spring hunt might also shape my rifle choices through much of the year in the direction of a heavier centrefire rifle.
