I don't suppose there is any way to be able to mark a page read at a time, or be able to click on a box and mark a thread as read, is there?

The posts on this site are extremely prolific, and it makes me crazy that I can't keep up...there are so many interesting things to read here, but some I've looked at and don't care to bother with again. it would be nice just to be able to click mark as read a little easier.

Thanks. And no hissy fits here...LOL

Just kidding. Couldn't help myself.

Good idea having this thread.

Hello Mr. Kevin,
Why don't moderators use automatic search engines to catch infractions quickly and efficiently? I think it would save them lots of time and help to make this awesome board even better. Each moderator could use a different set of key words and catch 90% of all word based infractions within minutes of their posting. Moderators have a tough job sometimes, and this simple application would completely eliminate their need for manual infraction searches.

Well I tried to send this to you the other day, but your pm box was full and wouldn't accept anymore so I was smart and saved it to my drafts. Magic! you now have a thread! Even better. My question is about the SWINE FLU:

I wasnt sure where to ask you this but it is a question I had after reading/watching your infection thread.

I am wondering how the public will react to face masks etc? I mean what if I want to go to the bank? Face masks arent allowed there...will they change their rules? I know that I went to the bank (a few years back) on halloween with my kids dressed up and they had to take off their masks....

I live in Eastern NM and I might as well be living in Mexcio...

I just wonder how bad will it have to be before wearing masks become acceptable...the Chinese have been wearing them for years due to their smog etc.... and it's an accepted practice there...what about here?

P.S. Can you get us a smilie with a face mask? lol

My grandparents farm + (my kindergarten and 1st grade teachers talking about nuclear war, duck and cover - if you see a mushroom cloud outside, duck under your desk, cover your head and do not look at the glass. When the blast fits the windows they are going to shatter - and you do not want glass in your eyes. You need to be able to see in order to deal with after math of a nuclear war. And the light from the bomb may be so bright, it will burn your eyes from the radiation) + my upbringing in rural east Texas + the cold war with russia + listening to the vietnam vets + the Afghanistan war with russia + reading soldier of fortune at 14 years old.

It only makes sense that if a nuclear war does happen, a farm outside the fall out is going to be the best place to be.

I do not know of such a book. If I "had" to recommend just one book, it would be the Bible.

I dont know if they will ever change the rules or not. In my opinion, Americans have a really bad case of "herd mentality". They complain about the Democrats and Republicans, but refuse to vote for any other party at election time.

If people refuse to vote different - which is just a simple mark of a pencil or a push of a button. How can you expect them to change their lifestyles?

A swallow can fly at about 24 miles per hour.

Bunker - if you live in a high ranked nuclear target area, or tornado alley, sure I recommend a bunker. Some people call them root cellars. And they have saved an unkown number of lives.
