Anybody doing planks for extended intervals? I know that could be relative, but is anybody out there holding 10, 20, or 30 minute or more planks?

Ok, apparently not.
I was just asking because I have been planking for about a year and have worked up to being able to hold a 5 minute plank. But I am just barely holding on at that length.
I know the world record is over 10 hours so I figure there must be some kind of physical breakthrough or mental barrier to overcome to get longer times.

Unless you use drugs or hypnosis, my guess is that the
people who can do it for hours, have figured out a way
to make the muscles involved stronger by using other
methods. You could also try putting weights on your
back.

I am a caregiver for a train wreck and wrangle him daily. I also pick up heavy things and stock them, for a living. Plenty of ab involvement on both.

And I do kettlebells.

Years ago, fell asleep holding a plank and ended up with a bloody nose. No idea how long I had been there.

Learned my lesson, so now I just do pushups of various permutations, sit-ups, flutter kicks, body twists, etc., etc., etc.
