Sound Familiar?

Any suggestions on a name for this Planet?

Default Might Be The Real Deal ...

Might be the real deal. Apparently they are not quite sure what it is.

It sounds like this might be real. I saw it on the news today. Time will tell. They will probably be made to name it after a person from a previously oppressed group.

There should be a lot more, actually. It's estimated that we had about 30 planets/dwarf planets crowding the usual planetary space (Neptune and further in) when Jupiter and Saturn ended up orbiting in a 2:1 ratio. So every other orbit they lined up perfectly. This created a huge slingshot effect and jumbled the solar system all up. Jupiter and Saturn eventually broke their orbits and even ended up switching places in the order of orbit.

Most of these planetoids were slingshot into deep elliptical orbits, or just sent flying out of the solar system at escape velocity. Others that were farther out than the duo were flung into the inner solar system colliding with the sun or other planets. This is where the planet (Thea) that collided with the Earth and left us with our moon, a double-thick iron core, and maybe even a huge chunk of our water likely came from.

When you consider how far out this planet likely gets and how elliptical its orbit is, it makes for a perfect candidate as one of those planetoids flung out by Jupiter and Saturn, of which there should be plenty more, but we're talking about orbits that are so far out they're barely within the gravitational influence of the sun.

I have read some of his stuff(but did a quick review as the name sounded familiar), I dont follow the timelines of writers so cant tell if he initiated a lot of planet X material, and why our moon counted among the mentioned celestial bodies and not other planets satellites to get to the number 12.

My biggest issues has always been for a planet to be that far removed from Sol it would have to be a dead plant with only artificial means of maintaining life. it may as well be part of the hollow asteroid groups or artificial satellite space islands.

I may have to que his stuff into my ereader for some future graveyard shifts.

You are way behind the times.
The moon was placed there and is really an artificial structure.
Also, the earth is hollow.

I wonder if there is a chance to redirect New Horizons towards it... They have fuel left for a maneuver and they are currently planning on redirecting it to already known planetoids beyond Pluto... If this "planet" is in a similar elliptical orbit, there might be a chance to get close enough to snap some pictures.

I would guess that right now the new planet's location isn't known with enough precision to get a probe to it... Even if it does happen to be in the right location in its orbit.
