Hello emoliveira,

You must get to work in some beautiful places. I would love to see some pics.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Macumazahn!

Thank you for your kind reply message.

I am afraid I am not expert enough on using boards to send photos!!
I could do it through private mail (emoliveiraatLNECdotpeetee) if you wish.

Anyway, estuaries are beautiful places, indeed. Portuguese ones are not that special, as compared with any other, anywhere!

Somehow unfortunately, research on estuarine physics has been mostly in offices, on computers, mathematics and physics, rather than on field surveys, (although I do it whenever I can), due to costs involved (special boats, frequently from the Portuguese Navy, ...).
I must confess that I do have fun with it!!

Now in relation to this board...
There must be some "tricks" somewhere, because I am told I must post 5 times before having access to some pages, but somewhere else KEV says minimum is 3 posts.

Furthermore, following my introductory message, I saw no "thank" accountability on upper right side of my post, whilst you (Macumazahn) have quite a number of them.

Is there any specific "behavior" I should follow in posting but I am missing, for these two "questions"? (number of minimum posts / number of thanks)

Thank you again for your reply.
I do look forward in "listening" your messages.
It is 21:35 now in Lisboa, so I will be leaving soon.
Best regards,
Eduardo Oliveira (emoliveira)
Lisboa, Portugal

Hi I'm new from Indiana. Everyone seems a little tense here but I do like the fact that there are so many people trying to be self-reliant and at the same time help others. I'm a Grandma who loves to be prepared! Thank you for the site and so much information. BoundryWaters

Hi, I'm new from South Carolina. It gives me a sense of security to be on the path to preparedness. I just realized last month that I would be up the creek if I did not begin to get ready for the unknown and protect myself and family. Little by little I am getting my things in order and getting the things I need. I am even looking into starting a garden this next year.

Hello everyone on the forum from Sunny Florida. I like these BBS boards and especially this format. I am a moderator on one similar to this but with a different focus in Florida. www.southernairboat.com I look forward to partiscipating in this form and making a contribution where I am able.

My name is Scotty, I am a bit of a technical type with guns and am a Field Engineer in Satellite Communications, actually all radio based comm. I enjoy handloading and repairing and modifying most firearms, there are some I havent learned yet, maybe I'll learn some here. I don't hold knowledge as a secret and am willing to share anything I know, and when I don't know it doesn't bother me to say so.

Looking forward to making new friends and enjoying the board.

Scotty
