Went with the wife Friday night and then again with the kids Saturday afternoon.
Not as good as the first one but still a good scary flick.
Enjoyed it the first time. Jaw dropped when I saw Stephen King sipping from an Argentine mate with the CAI initials. Later got to tell the kids their grandpa was a founding member of that club, helped build their stadium.
On the Friday night showing there was a red balloon floating in the theater in the middle of the movie... then saw a bunch more, sure enough the godman Pennywise clown was there holding the balloons. I'll admit I got spooked there for a second, then though about that shooting in Aurora. OF coruse it was an employee, but damit if that guy didnt look exactly like the clown in the movie.

It 2 is the name of the movie. Creepy clown. Remember a couple years ago had a fad of people dressing up as creepy clowns and either just walking around or attacking people? I think It (no numeral) started that bizarre trend.

I DON'T watch things like that.

Present day reality with people like Pelosi, Biden, AOC and such are much more frightening... simply because they are real..I think.

ALSO

I have had enough adrenaline rushes in my life to stand me for about the next 12 lifetimes.

Creepy clown is kindof an understatement...
The guy that plays it does a great job. A bit too long at 2:30, 2 hours would have been better. And the kids in the first movie do a much better job than the big name stars in the second.

No, not really. Most movies suck but I like a good one after dinner in a nice place with the wife on our date night and clearly many other couples felt the same way. Please tell us more about your refined standards of entertainment.

If King wasn't such a far left Communist I might (a slim chance) support some of his work. But as it is ... I wouldn't pay spit to watch or read anything with his name on it. I wouldn't be surprised if he's as twisted in real life as his movies and books reflect.

Anyway ... I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

I did read an interview where he said if he didn't write he would be scared of who he might be. True he is a loud mouth leftist but unless they let it poison their work they can still be worth while as artist.

The things that come from the mind of Stephen King only serve to show how mentally deranged he really is. Now his leftist mouth proves it.

I can agree with that. I don't like Elton John very much but I enjoy his songs very much. I don't know if he's as much of an outspoken leftist as King is but I can say that I haven't purchased any of John's albums in recent decades.

Sure dont agree with his politics and other nonsense, but the man can write. And his endings do such. Gunslinger and The Dark Tower are proof of both.
But man, the Dark Tower is one heck of a ride, up until the terrible end that is.

I used to read almost every book he authored. I saw an old version of IT that I liked. But as I aged and as he became more open about his political leanings, I stopped helping him monetarily. Boycotting (as insignificant as it may be these days) is about the only power I have to stand against such men. I realize it's a tiny drop in a huge bucket but it gives me a clear conscience.

I dont know. Can't say I have a definite stance on whats the right thing to do. I do know that I don't go around asking what people's politics are every time I spend money and I'm not about to do that, therefore depriving myslef from reading an author I enjoy (for me) doesnt make a lot of sense. At the same time I will say that I wont buy a benchmade knife ever again due to their strong anti gun stance, destroying buyback guns in their facility and making such practice public. That I feel is a much greater betrayal unlike King.

My decision to stop supporting the dude is mine. I don't suggest that anyone else follow suit. We all have to follow our own instincts and our own conscience.

I won't buy Benchmade anymore either..

I liked King's work pre-accident work a lot more than his post-accident work. That encounter changed him artistically in a fundamental way. IMO
