How much money does an M1A (M14 military version) rifle in very good user condition go for now days? (notice that I said a "user" rifle, not a "collector" rifle, a "user" rifle meaning one that is in good enough condition to be used every day if you want to, a "collector" rifle meaning one that's just pretty for a glass display case). Just a straight-up, standard, normal, un-modified, bone stock M14.
And, no, I'm not going to search on crooked, warped and distorted fleece-bay-like auction sites for prices. I don't have time for that.
Thanks

$1200 and up, here in Florida, if you shop around. That even goes for Polytechs

Also PSA has good prices on them sometimes. Like SOCOM16 for $1,199.

If you are looking for better prices shop for a Garand. I picked up a CMP Special with only a handful of rounds fired for $900. Paid $800 for a “service” grade rifle with loads of extras. -K

A real M14 is an NFA weapon and a legally transferable one will run five figures.

OP is talking about an M1A, many of which were assembled with rejected government parts which didn't gage up.

MUCH better off with a Garand from the CMP.

If you can find a transferable one that someone wants to sell I am fairly certain it would be in the 5 figure range.

It would have taken the same amount of time to type up your OP to go on Gunbroker and query for used M1A.

Used M1A Rifles

Several listed, around $1000.00. That's about the best you'll find for a "user".

The issue is sorting though the various grades and makes. Springfield is likely the most common and available, but there are others that can be found. I'm assuming your looking to buy and not sell(?), but you will likely have to hit the auction (most are buy-now) sites like GunBroker, if you're serious and want to get a good deal. If there's anything local, those auction sites will give you leverage to work a good deal.

A trasferibile M14 will run you from $17,000 to $25,000 depending on manufacture, condition and add ons.
