Default "How it Ends" The Movie

Hey folks,

I recently watched the movie "How it Ends" on Netflix.

This movie got horrible reviews but is one of the more realistic movies I have seen in what happens with a nationwide "grid down" scenario in the first 7-10 days after the event happens.

It might be worth a peek if anybody has ever wondered. I have personally seen similar event like this take place real time in gas lines here in Florida when hurricanes approach.

About 10 or so years ago when Florida was threatened 3 weekends in a row....I remember pulling into a gas station and seeing riot police there so people didnt fight over $10 in gas. It was surreal.

Suppose the bad reviews are because folks don't want to see truth????

I liked it myself. Plan on doing a summary for a group meeting in a few weeks. I would love it if they did a OSA movie. I’d be first in line for it; my book is highlighted, notes in the margins and well loved.

It had some good parts but bad acting, stupid characters, and of course the end are why people didnít like it.

I donít know how it could be evaluated for realism as the whole thing was just a metaphor.

My take away from this was how fast quickly things would deteriorate. 2 days ahead of a storm warning here in Florida the gas stations sell out of gas.

Somewhere i have a picture of a fully empty produce department 6 weeks after Irma.

So it's only logical that event like in the movie would actually start occurring 5 days after a grid down.

Yeah the ending was dumb......would have been better off to not know what caused the event and just leave people guessing.

The premise was good. It had the potential to be great. The execution was freaking horrible. Very bad writing. So much holywood cliche' crap tossed in too.

The "ending" if you can call it that, was the worst of any movie, ever.

As for the grid down, no gas situation, I lived if for 3+ weeks last fall. Small pockets of unrest, stores got looted that had their windows blown in or walls blown out, but that was it.

Perhaps it's because this is the Panhandle of Florida where everyone's armed with CC.

Yeah... it was Mad Max on the first night in the middle of absolute nowhere. Places that probably wouldn't have even noticed something had happened at that point. Ridiculous.
