But if I were in the market
55 grain Lake City at $ .30 a round delivered is fine by me
30 CPR is so long ago like yesterday

Cheapest 5.56 at TS-USA (all Lake City sold out) is 35CPR

Cheapest 223 at TS-USA is almost all gone but if you hurry; 33CPR

PMC is now gone so the Privi at 35CPR is cheapest at TS-USA now

It may be 40CPR tomorrow but IMO this panic will end and when it does prices will drop so unless you have no ammo I would recommend waiting until this has all passed but again, IMO

That price does not include shipping so more like 37-38CPR and 3 weeks ago we would have laughed at that price.
This was $279.99 a few weeks ago and BTW it sold out in minutes at 35+ shipping

Brownells just sent me an email saying they had ammo. The prices were all higher than my 2:30PM post above.

We should all just be laughing at all of this because none of us should actually have to buy anything
If you are a regular on a gun board or one like this you should have had enough smarts to already have what you needed ++++ food, ammo, water, TP etc etc etc
This is a LOL at those now woke and wondering what has happened

Prices are irrelevant to me at the moment. Seriously. I am good. Have other things to worry about than people trying to instill fear. If you didn't plan during the Very Happy Times don't come whining about it now. I am paying no attention to someone else's poor planning.

CTD4DTD (Cheaper than Dirt for dumber than dumb)

Case of Winchester 55gr 1,000 rounds just $899.89
It did not say if shipping was extra

I just can not imagine there is anyone dumb enough to pay this but who knows!!!

https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/winc...892227156.html

I am not kidding. The below 9MM was shown as $257.00 for 1,000 115gr 9MM steel case. I clicked on it to get the link to post here and as I was looking at the ad the price flickered and changed to $499.99

so the vultures are showing up on Armslist in NE Ohio. $375 for an older Henry Survival Rifle. AK steel case ammo for .50 a round. A lot of our LGS's are empty. they said on the news that Ohio is leading the way on background checks.

What's wrong with this picture? (not the same ad as mentioned above but pretty close.)

Most of the stuff from big box stores are junk . However a crossman 1377 ( .17 )will take birds , a 1322 ( .22 ) will take bigger game . They are pump guns so you dont need air to shoot them . Plus you can highly modify these two ( think the glock of the pellet world ) . .17 for feathers , .20 / .22 for fur is the motto . Pyramid air sells good stuff online . Whatever you get i would look @ tko22.com online and get a "lead device catcher " . Makes them so silent you cant even hear them .

The last thing I need is more ammunition right now
I have all the ammunition, lead alloy, powder, bullets, cases, and primers I need
I really do not need anything
I took it slow through 8 years of Hussien and the .22 LR weenies
If Trump loses, I may never buy anything ever again
The only thing I wanted to add was a certain shotgun, but it is far from a need
I have way more shotguns than I need

Same with me Jack.
I knew full well the salad days were limited and to have everything I could need and so bought with a "I will never be able to get anymore" attitude.
Even with my firearms I have mucho spare parts to keep my weapons going long past wearing out working internals.

However, this thread is more about what is available now and how it is changing which is now by the minute.
Target Sports has 17 1K round cases left of S&B 158gr subsonic 50 round boxes and that is it for 9MM FMJ under 50CPR (11AM 3/17/20)

What is ironic is if I wanted to cash out and make a big profit they are cancelling all the gun shows so I won't even be able to do that if I wanted.
I will pass on some, not much to local friends and neighbors at my cost because I do believe this will end and in another 12-18 months we will see see salad days again but of course only if Trump is reelected

or 2013 post sandy hook. Same pattern here. 9mm and .223/556 are being gobbled up. I'm seeing prices of .30 cents plus on 9mm . Two weeks ago it was .18 cents per round. 223 is now in the mid 30 cent range with lots of sites being wiped out and listing back order. x39 is at .25 cents per round up from .20 cents as recently as a week ago. The cheap price levels we saw the past 3 plus years were a great window while it lasted.

My grandson in TN said a lot of the shelves in the ammo department was hit hard and some ammo was sold out. That will be temporary I think. He bought three boxes of different rifle ammo.

People talk about comfort food during bad storms. I think the ammo sales are the same. Comfort ammo sales. LOL

Let’s be real. Most people who are prepared to some degree have a firearm or thirty... I’d guess people who aren’t prepared probably have less then 100 rounds total of ammunition chambered in no specific cartridge.

States are shutting down “non essential “ retailers, if gun shops fall into that category them private FTF(where legal) could be profitable.

I'm of the school you can never have too much ammo, but I can get by for quite a while, but found these for people who want to add some 5.56 or 9mm

https://gun.deals/product/american-e...ewsletter-1946

https://gun.deals/product/federal-xm...ewsletter-1946

https://gun.deals/product/winchester...ewsletter-1946

Better get them before they run out.
