Advertise Here

Daughter and husband are moving to Seattle area (work related) and I have given them handguns, Rem 870, S & W 29 in last couple of years, plus they have a Mosin Nagant and a significant amount of ammo for everything. Are there restrictions on importing the items? Is registration required?

Thanks

nope, not yet....

liberals are pushing for a registration act but nothing on the books today.

there maybe some sort of federal regulation about bringing the guns out here, the whole cross country transportation thing but there's no need or reason to check in with the state...i would also use the word transporting, not importing...different things...different issues...different regulations.

It would likely be wise if they could avoid living in King County.

And make sure they keep them in a safe. Some parts of Seattle are experiencing higher than normal levels of burglaries, etc.

Ccw easy to get. But ag says he's pushing for ban on over ten rounds and modern military style rifles next year. Grandfather clause though. Transfers now have to go through a gun dealer.
