I think this is a ploy by Pelosi. She's dumb but she's not suicidal and she knows this is a losing hand. But she's between a rock and a hard spot with the extremists in her own party. If she does nothing, they'll end up replacing her as Speaker. So she has to go through the smoke and mirrors motions to appease them by walking right up to that tripwire without crossing it. It's a dangerous game for the old gal. I almost feel sorry for her.

..almost...

Part of the danger to her is that her momentum can carry her past the point of no return and actually file the articles of impeachment. That's a lose / lose proposition for them:
  • If they impeach and don't convict in the Senate, Trump comes out stronger and the dems will face a strong political backlash losing the House at the very least.
  • If they impeach and (somehow!) do convict in the Senate, many of the leftists won't physically survive the blowback that will come their way.

Another possibility is that the dems know that RBG's death is imminent and impeachment proceedings are a last ditch effort to slow down a Trump replacement. They will claim that he should be disallowed from appointing a new SC justice while he's under impeachment proceedings.

That too will fail and bite them back harder than they know.

Your move Dems. Choose carefully.

Well it would be nice if the Dems focused on border security and passing the USMCA trade deal but their first priority would be gun control, so maybe we are better off if they rant about Trump.

@Sabotage... I found this at a fact check site...

As for President Trumpís donating all of his presidential salary (as he promised to do during his campaign), to date that is an accurate statement. We reported previously that Trump has so far written a personal check each quarter in an amount equivalent to one-fourth of his annual salary to the following federal agencies: the National Park Service, the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the Department of Homeland Security.

The demonrats got nothing. Muller had nothing yet we spent millions on the investigation and years of hearing about it every day during and then months after the public announcement of they have nothing.

Where is the AG on prostituting Comey and all the other treasonist scum. How about inditements for Hasbeen and Obozo for corruption and collusion.

Well like you said it might stick. I think at some point they felt like their hand was forced.....politically as well because you have a lot of D voters who are starting to feel like they are just being appeased. It may look worse if scandal after scandal reported by the MSM and a dem house did nothing about it, but calls to investigate and a White House that won’t cooperate. Witnesses turning congressional hearings into a joke. I think it is risky politically either way. So Might as well throw the **** and see where the chips fall.

No. I don't think it is. But there is a morbidly curious part of me that wants to know what would happen if he were removed from office and then won in 2020.

Do you honestly want them working 'for the people'?

Here's a hint; the people they'd be working for doesn't include you and me.

Even if President Trump were to be impeached he still would have a better chance of winning in 2020 than any democrat.

Yep, she has now lit the fuse on the stick of dynamite she's holding.

Wylie E. Pelosi comes to mind.

Yea I laughed at that one too. I wonder if he said his prayers before or after he screwed the porn star with his newly born 3 month old son at home. Personally I wouldn’t be able to look at him in the eye. The wife is one thing, but betraying my son like that? Never...

Ukraine was a major marker. Watch how quickly everything speeds up now.

They have no choice but to impeach. If they don't get him out of office, by any means possible, they all, and most of the world elite, are done.

I have never heard Trump refer to God in any way. Always to his own superiority on every matter.

Yeah.....

Just as soon as Trump is out of the way, they can pack the SCOTUS

Rest assured, what the socialists have planned doesn't include us

They've been exposing their true agenda

Take the guns
Limit Free Speech
Eliminate Due Process
Expand the Supreme Court and pack it with liberals
Redistribution of wealth by heavily taxing the rich
Free Nationalized Healthcare that won't be free
Reparations
Men in Women's restrooms
Open Borders

Anybody that votes DEMOCRAT I will consider my enemy!

I have always said that timing is important to communists, socialists, liberals and Democrats. Here's what's happening when you take a hard look at things....

1. The Democrats are trying to divert our eyes away from some issue that they don't want us to see and analyze. It's an embarrassment to them and it will cost them the elections and they know it.

2. By forcing Trump to waste time on going against the impeachment actions it will slow down his 2020 election/campaign efforts. By making him waste time, money and efforts fighting the impeachment the loses possible votes and support money for his campaign. They hope that it will him so much turmoil and be so expensive for him that he, Trump, will have to quit the race.

3. Every day, from now on, the Democrats will use their friends in the media to try to convince the American public that Trump is a bad man. Trump did a no-no. Trump should not be president. This small minded propaganda will go on and on and on up to and beyond the election.

4. After the election, whether he wins or loses, Trump will STILL be seen as a threat to the Democrats. Because of that threat, Trump will remain under attack by the Democrats. He will be hit by them at the national and local levels for many years to come.

5. If Trump manages to deflect enough of the Democrats' garbage impeachment attempts and gets reelected, look for us to suffer some sort of massive attack inside our nation again. Of course the fingerprints of the Democrats will be all over the cover of the attack but they will try to blame the Trump administration for the attack in some way. They'll claim his government agencies were too lax, too careless or too ineffective. Never mind that people like John Kerry was photographed prior to the attack glad-handing whoever the bad guys were and offering advice on how to do the attack...

Those are just a few things to watch out for as a result of what may happen with the Democrats over the next few months.

One other thing... If the Democrats do try to push Trump too far, this may cause a groundswell movement of patriotic American citizens and initiate another Athens, Tennessee, type action but on a national scale this time. The Democrats may have bitten off much more than they can chew this time and more than they can control because you know that even the military forces don't like them either.

It's in connection with him calling out Ukraine and demanding that they rectify the Biden kickbacks before we help them out any more.
