I just found out a cousin of mine out in west Texas had a seizure earlier today. The dr's so far have not been able to tell us why or what caused it.

Her name is Amy, she's only 45 and she's not doing so good.

Very much appreciate it.

So sorry for this misfortune. Seems you've had a bit of that as of late. Having this happen without a cause makes it even worse.

Amy's family and loved ones will be in my prayers.

Thank you zumhug, yes, you know the usual, when it rains it pours.

My dad was #7 of 11 kids, he passed from Colon cancer, 2 other brothers from stomach and Lung cancer, all of them are gone now except the baby of the family, my uncle, he is 81 and on his 3rd round of cancer. The father of this cousin. Also, her brother died 19 years ago at the age of 31 due to brain cancer. That's what we're all afraid of that this might be.

I had 32 1st cousins on that side, we are down to 20 now because of either cancer of 1 form or another, Pulmonary embolisms, severe diabetes, strokes, cerebral hemorrhage's, heart attacks, this is not even including 2nd and 3rd cousins who have passed away to something or another already.

I've already had 1 fight with ovarian cancer. Would not surprise me in the least to come up with stomach or colon cancer with the problems I am having.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. I guess they worked. Dr's released her a couple of hours ago stating it was a reaction to a Tylenol PM which she takes quite often. She's been using them for several years now and why she would have a problem now with them has the dr's confused but that's all they can come up with.

Tx Darling, I wouldn't buy that. Not for a second. Unless that bottle was contaminated, it is highly unlikely to be the cause. JMO, YMMV.

Praying for you and your family.

I totally agree with you. My first reaction was "Bull****". Thank you. But she believes them so that's that. But I figure she'll come up sooner or later with brain cancer because everyone I have known, including her brother, with brain cancer started out with seizures.

I've taken care of a lot of patients with seizures. Never seen a reaction to Tylenol PM cause one. If this is the first time she has had a seizure she needs a CT scan, MRI, and referral to neurology for an EEG if those studies are normal to see if she has epilepsy.

They did all that. No epilepsy or anything else was found. That's why they are saying that that's why they think it was the Tylenol PM. Because they can't find anything to have caused it. Just something out of the blue which again I say is a total load of hogwash. Something caused it and they just aren't looking in the right spots. But she does have a Neurology appt next week.

If it were someone close to me, I'd be looking for a second opinion from someplace like the Mayo Clinic. She needs to be seen by someone who is expert in their field. That and prayer. Sometimes it is worth spending some money and time to get the right answer and a plan.

Jesus -- please heal Amy and make her whole again. Please help them find the root cause of the problem and the remedy as well.
