Hey Y'all,

So I live here, and I am wondering what y'all think of The Delmarva Peninsula.

Do Route 50 and Route 13 and Delaware Route 1 count as dangerous thoroughfares?

Do the Canal and Bay Bridges provide enough isolation for bugging in here?

Are Salisbury, Easton, Cambridge, Kent Island, Dover, etc, too big to be safe near?

Where could you bug out from here? The magic "300 miles from cities" is nowhere near here!

I live in the middle of Delmarva in Delaware right on the Maryland line. I know it's not an ideal BOL but I'm away from town, know my neighbors and area like the back of my hand. I know how to live of what is naturally available as well. It would be pretty hard to get me to leave my property.

Seems nice.... Just have your preps on hand, and have a place and the means to flee too it.

Good Stuff Topper!

Delmarva has a lot of things going for it... But, downsides everywhere!

great if you want quick getaway fro Balt/DC
in emergency could be problem as there are only a handful of access points; Bay Bridge, Bay Bridge Tunnel, a few bridges over the C&D Canal (folks forget about that one).
I have an uncle down there; right now he's my BOL. if I had the money I'd go elsewhere. Shore is definitely better than all the cities.

Loved the area, was stationed in Maryland for a bit. Spent alot of off time around Solomon islands, besides dc depending on event you may have to worry about places like Calvert cliffs nuke plant. Just a thought. Blue crabs as a survival food sounds heck of a lot better than mre.

Eastern shore would be ok, if you can get there. As previously said, main roads would be clogged.
I have a friend in Easton and I would not want to be there. He says crime has exploded in and around there. Close the water and more rural parts would be ok. Good luck

I spend a lot of time on the Virginia shore and I will tell ya that there are a lot of the criminal element from the 7 cities area that go over there to hide out. I don't know if this would factor into your plans or not but it is something to consider.
