I am reminded of two cases on paratransit, they get thousands of trips a month, most of the riders are very ill.

In one case the client got in the front seat and died while the driver went around to the drivers side. The driver asked him to put on his seatbelt and realized the passenger was dead. Just that quick. Nothing the driver did either.

Second time a blind friend of mine was riding on a big van and the lady across the way died en route to her destination. They arrived and realized the woman had died. That was a real circus waiting on the authorities, etc.

Sometimes people just die.

This issue will probably lead to more expats from California moving to the rest of the USA.

Remember that PG&E says that the preemptive outages are the new normal.

According to the latest thing I read, there were gusts up to 70 mph (despite a lot of griping on twitter that people didn't observe wind) and PG&E discovered a lot of damaged equipment.
