Not the best shootout scene, but it's my favorite:
(The fun starts at about 2:00)

Plus I dont care how fast and accurate you are with a .45 you'll be faster and more accurate with a .22. Not that a .22 is a good defensive round or anything.

The rifleman. He gets off the X. Uses cover and is ambidextrous.

So, unclear on the message here. Choose speed over effectiveness or simply that speed is not a reason alone to choose a .22?

Never missed Gunsmoke or the Rifleman with my grandpa. Loved Lucas having his paternal fireside chat with Mark and then go blow some bad dudes away. Pretty good formula for a 30 minute show.

Got a new favorite. El Camino is a follow up movie on Netflix of Breaking Bad about Jessie coping on the run after the last scene of the series. Jessie is in a room with 5 guys asking for 1600 dollars after he had split a million 3 ways with 2 of them. One of them challenged him to a quick draw for the money, distance less than 10 feet. The other guy was a big beefy guy with a nice 45 short 1911, think it was a Kimber. Jessie has an old 22 Woodsman tucked into his front pants. Beefy guy makes the mandatory who ya gonna **** off with that thing comments. He goes for his 45 and Jessie puts a neat little group of 4 or 5 shots in his heart before he gets a shot off. Funny how little recoil helps rapid fire shot placement. Against all laws of physics in a "if it doesn't start with a 4 it aint a gun" mind Mr Big and Beefy hits the ground dead as a doorknob.

Another is a scene in Open Range. Street shoot out setting with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall lined up against the other gang. Lead bad guy is running his mouth and Costner steady walks up without a word and puts a slug in his head. End of formalities I guess.

Forget the name of the movie but Bruce Willis had a good shoot out with Cartel guys. Impressed with realistic shooting dude in the legs from under the truck.

Oddly with all the slick gun work my favorite John Wick's scene is him getting the horses to kick the guy he was fighting with. Laughed like hell. You got to be a country boy to appreciate it I guess.

Lots of others but what are yours?
This was a great shootout. He (Jessie) shot him in the chest with another gun that was in his left coat pocket not, the .22. It looked like an Iver Johnson or, Harrington Richardson .32 or .38 S&W. That's why the other guy told him "Dude, your on fire".

I had a feeling he would use it when he took the 2 guns out of his parents' safe.

Last man standing, John Carpenter's Vampires, Basically any movie with the Ry Cooder Band playing the score in the background right before the lead starts flying.
