SPOILER ALERT WILL TALK ABOUT CURRENT MOVIES!!!!

Got a new favorite. El Camino is a follow up movie on Netflix of Breaking Bad about Jessie coping on the run after the last scene of the series. Jessie is in a room with 5 guys asking for 1600 dollars after he had split a million 3 ways with 2 of them. One of them challenged him to a quick draw for the money, distance less than 10 feet. The other guy was a big beefy guy with a nice 45 short 1911, think it was a Kimber. Jessie has an old 22 Woodsman tucked into his front pants. Beefy guy makes the mandatory who ya gonna **** off with that thing comments. He goes for his 45 and Jessie puts a neat little group of 4 or 5 shots in his heart before he gets a shot off. Funny how little recoil helps rapid fire shot placement. Against all laws of physics in a "if it doesn't start with a 4 it aint a gun" mind Mr Big and Beefy hits the ground dead as a doorknob.

Another is a scene in Open Range. Street shoot out setting with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall lined up against the other gang. Lead bad guy is running his mouth and Costner steady walks up without a word and puts a slug in his head. End of formalities I guess.

Forget the name of the movie but Bruce Willis had a good shoot out with Cartel guys. Impressed with realistic shooting dude in the legs from under the truck.

Oddly with all the slick gun work my favorite John Wick's scene is him getting the horses to kick the guy he was fighting with. Laughed like hell. You got to be a country boy to appreciate it I guess.

Lots of others but what are yours?

The Kingsman, church fight scene is pretty gruesome.

Another favorite is in Get Shorty. East coast wise guy comes visiting a movie producer that owes a lot of money. Producer has a weaselly body guard with Miami Vice look making fun of the wise guy's 9mm auto. Weasel has a 38 snubbie tucked in his waist. Wise guy asks the body guard if he was a quick draw artist. Huh? Then wise guy unloads the 9mm into him.

Pretty good. The actor with the beard has bad luck with knives. He was killed in Saving Private Ryan with a knife too. He was a character on Friends too.

Um, it's a movie. Jessie won because it was in the script.

I wouldn't take any facts from a scripted scene like that one.

A man with a 45 can place as many rounds in your heart as fast as anyone with a 22. Thinking the movie proved a 22 is faster is just asking for trouble some day. You might want to watch a 45 competition and find out just how insanely fast a 1911 can be fired.

HEAT!
The Way of the Gun
Open Range (They cut a scene where Kevin Costner drops his peacemaker and grabs another from his belt, making it seem like he shoots 12 rounds out of one gun, that should have been caught and corrected in editing)
Street Kings (underrated)
Sicario
Sabotage
Rambo (06) sorry shooting dozens of men with a belt fed was awesome!
Ronin
Act of Valor
13 Hours
I am Wraith (guilty pleasure)
Death Wish III (sorry pulling a snubbie and killing two guys for stealing your car stereo which you planted was awesome!)

Heat, when Val Kilmer went from smiling at his buddies straight to the red in the blink of an eye.
That and Denzel Washington shooting across the roof of the Monte Carlo after they faked the search warrant

Josey Wales has a few but the scene where he asks those yanks if they are going pull them pistoles or whistle dixie is awesome.

Heat.
Way of the gun.
Joesy wales.
Bright, when will Smith takes out the group of cops who are about to kill him, that one in particular really struck me because it the focused on the gun and let the targets blur out, which is exactly how you do it in front sight shooting.
