I bought one when I was a kid. The local DRUG STORE had a barrel full of them for $25 each. I scoped it so didn't mess with the iron sights, but all military sights back then were regulated to shoot high. If the front has a pinned in blade it is easy to make your own replacement that is a little higher to get it to shoot where you want it.

Best accuracy comes with the big old long 175 gr bullets that replicate the military load of the day. I ended up putting a 243 bbl on mine and a curly maple stock.

most of these will have a long leade for the military 175 gr load. if reloading you can set the bullet out a little further to help accuracy
