Wasn't sure where the best place to post this would be, so here it is...

I will be making a short visit to Mtnman Mike in the very near future. As some of you know, he is holed up at his mountain retreat and intends to stay there for the remainder of the winter season (prob through spring/early summer). This will not be easy - last winter/spring he had a rough time, and will certainly be lonely. I'm putting together a package for him to open on Christmas. Nothing fancy, just something to remind him that there's a world out there beyond the mountains and that he hasn't been forgotten.

If you are familiar with his situation and would like to post a "hello" or "Merry Christmas" (he's Christian), or other kind words of encouragement, please do so on this thread. I'll let this run for the weekend and will print them out to include in the package.

Thank you for your consideration.

You the man Mike. Winter has just started, an early spring is always nice to think about.

Although Mud Season isn't my favorite but its better than Fire Season.

Merry Christmas and a quite new year to ya.

Default Alway here, always prepared

Mike,
If you end up needing anything or get snowed in and have problems feel free to get hold of me, I am not hard to find, snow tires on the truck already(and chains oiled) and maintenance already done on the sleds. DO NOT FORGET YOUR VITAMIN D and if you need any extra reading materials bump me a note and a drop box address I have a few hard copy Todorov's that you might not have read.

Chin up, and look at the bright side. You're one of the few people that sees the reference about getting 8-12 inches and it's associated with something white.

You are a good honest man who does what he say,s he will do.I hope you have a great winter, did you bring a dog for company?? do you have a snow machine? Be safe and maybe you could write down all the different critters you encounter this winter.

Did Mike get hit with that deep snow that hit Montana?

@Mike, survival is being flexible. If you don't have things ready on your mountain, consider taking your camper to Arizona. Quartzsite area is the place to start. Be safe.

@oalo, Get back to us with a report on how mike is doing.
