IF YOU get them young you can raise them like a domesticated animal .. so long as you pay attention to the other things about them such as rut time for the bulls. I spent a fair amount of time in Canada growing up and I saw several times mounties riding moose at various functions.

Really they aren't dangerous except for cows with calves and bulls in rut. (Bulls be crazeee in the rut.)Otherwise they want nothing to do with you and will get away if you approach them.

A lot of vehicle-moose accidents in Minnesota

Sometimes the moose (male or female) charges the vehicle, sometimes stands its ground/won't get out of the way, or sometimes the evil car is traveling too fast and refuses to/can't slow down/yield/stop in time.

Moose population is endangered in Minnesota, so Critical Habitat license plates with a moose on them are available for vehicles ($30 minimum donation in addition to regular licensing fee; same as the other Critical Habitat plates). Perhaps this means those particular vehicles have learned the proper way to defer to/avoid moose

I've ridden more than the odd moose, at the end of a boozy night out, if you catch my drift...

Some guy got charged up here for jumping on the back of a swimming moose. He filmed it and posted it.

There's a law that forbids jumping on the back of a swimming moose? Someone in the statehouse has too much time on his hands.
