I wouldnt have fed those pigs to my dogs.....lol. ( We raise catfish in a few of our ponds so those fish are well fed via feral pig.)

They do more damage to things around here that ARE good to eat however.

With that said......I would eat um if thats all I had left. ( If left unchecked, them porkys would destroy most everything we grow to eat.)

Dumped all of um with the " battle boomstick " in other pic below.

To the OP

Advice
1. Buy quality over quantity.
2. Buy NATO or Bloc calibers (depending on your AO and opposing force)...so long as you are comfortable with those calibers...arthritis can trump this position.

Questions you should be answering for yourself before asking how many guns is enough:

- How many people are you arming...yourself, a family, a crew, a neighborhood?
- Are you defending a position or oscar mike and do you have a backup plan if you have to stay (hurt/sick), or have to leave (fire/flood/food shortages, poison gas, radiation)
- What do you envision the opposing force to be...a lone wolf, crazed hurrican survivors, mauraders, zombies, military forces, angry mobs?
- Have you considered spare parts for the guns you have...small parts and wear parts that often bend/break, cleaning kits, etc?

Others will weigh in with their ideal setup...but only you can answer your own question.
(Your Wife's opinion may vary)

I'm friends with a semi-famous gun industry photographer, and periodically i seem him post something on his facebook like "so a few months back i think i left a gun at X place for a photo shoot, anyone seen it" and eventually someone will pipe up and be like "yeah I was holding onto that for you"

The guys I know in Texas only eat the piglets. They fit nicely in a pan in the oven. One guy baked up a little 5-10 lb porky his 5 year old daughter shot with his AR.

Every hog I have killed has been excellent. Better than store bought pork.

Another in pic below..... ( I typically shoot 3-6 per week here)

The " pistol" in 2nd pic was used to dump that paticular pig.

Note: AKs are the secondary weapons within my group. That is why I only need 2 of them . ( Not counting cached wpns)
