Tomahawk steak(s) !!!! they are huge. Like a dinosaur rib. We're going to see how this works out following a few similar recipes that looked like a good way to cook them.

Also cold langostino salad with a creamy garlic dressing, baked sweet potatoes with butter pineapple glaze, and for dessert Key Lime Pie with gobs of whipped cream or a made ahead banana pudding. Various snacks nuts, tiny chocolates, cheese and stuffed olives.

Drinkies will be Faustino Gran Reserva and for those who want a less robust wine, a less dry Bernkastel Auslese riesling. Yumma.

After dinner will be espresso and or bourbon. Cigars for those who smoke but must do so on the patio. For those of us who dont smoke I guess we'll just have fresh air, ya.

It's hell week for hubby at work - otherwise known as homecoming. Stress level up on legendary. I have his fav dinners planned this week and I made him pimento cheese spread and a pecan pie to start it off. Nothing says love and support like a wife deathly allergic to nuts making you a pie.
Tonight we are having cesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic bread with lots of cheese.

Reheated some baked potatoes, with lots of butter, salt and pepper, and sour cream. Delicious! The skins aren't crispy reheated in the microwave, but still good.

Dinty Moore Stew. Power has been out for a couple days. I had to break out the little butane stove. We got hit hard. Tornado a little less than a 1/4 mile of me.

Itís good to be prepared.

All these leftovers

Actually there were very little leftovers. A little steak and desserts. Everything else went down the hatches.

I think I will not eat at all tonight.

Taco Salad plus a couple of sides and cheese cake for dessert.

It was our turn to host our bi-weekly home Bible study, so everyone contributed. We only made the taco meat, everything else was brought by others. It turned out better than I expected and there wasn't much left over.

Hamburgers with all the fixin's. Power is back off for a day or two, running the generator to go online, checking preps. Thinking about making oven fries in a pan on the grill just to see how it works out.

Rotisserie chicken and potato salad from the Walmart deli.

Didn't feel like cooking after hosting dinner and Bible study last night.
