Its as if poor parenting now gets rewarded in this brave new world.

I sure would like to look into the eyes of stupid, but unfortunately there are no pictures to be found of the parents.

It appears that the parents are hooked on stupid. I wonder if they'll sue a spoon company for their fat butts (I can almost guarantee that they're oinkers).

Not to mention the taxpayers. I think people should be fined for frivolous lawsuits.

Wonder if there are any cigarettes or adult vapers in the house?

Reminds me of the legal thriller where the protagonist, an 11 year old boy, is addicted to smoking and chain smokes throughout the book.

The parents should be locked up for child abuse due to allowing their daughter to vape.

Must be related to the scum that thinks their committing armed robbery brother shouldn't have been shot. Normally I'm not big fan of the criminal (child) protective services but they need to yank that kid away and put the "parents" in jail for a while for neglect and endangerment.

The courts are complicit. These lawsuits wouldn't exist if they didn't win and/or if the courts would actually award damages to the defendant in a frivolous lawsuit.

Its more likely that this is just a get rich quick scheme and that they could care less who is to blame for their daughter vaping.

From a county in Kentucky that is over 95% white, so more likely to be from the poor white trash demographic.

The lawyer will probably get a twofer. Paid for the lawsuit and then paid to defend the parents after they are arrested for child abuse.

I blame the jurors. If I sat on a jury for a trial like this, I would hang it everytime. Of course, I dont think it has to be 100% on non criminal trials. But jurors allow this crap most of the time!

A lot of them are hoping it will be their time Next. Why else not make people responsible for themselves. Everyone today wants that quick Rich Scheme.

Koolaide, everyone thinks my husband got a huge settlement from his accident and we barely walked away with 2K. But try to tell someone that and no one believes you... tells us we are stupid, etc. I have 2 Yale lawyers in the family and they both said we were lucky to get what we did.

One woman said she got big money from her accident... I said she must have been hit by a commercial vehicle and she said yes. I told her if a private vehicle hits you good luck.

A friend of mine's husband was badly injured in an accident the fault of the other driver. That other driver had to pay 20% of his wages to the victim ongoing. That seemed very fair but not the law in Texas.

Unfortunately. We just ended up with a stalker constantly demanding my husband tell him he was "OK" "Fine" "Good" after being crushed and dragged 2 blocks, unending pain, severe head injury, and a life in a wheelchair. I finally had to sic the union on him to get him to stop.

There are parents that actually at least try to raise their children well using parental oversight. Then we have parents like this who are likely not very good parents.

Child services should remove the child from the parents due to child abuse and child neglect. Let's see how far their frivolous lawsuit goes then.

Yep not everyone wins big.

Decades ago my wife was injured in an auto accident due to a faulty seatbelt in our Toyota when we were hit by another vehicle. I had the car in for work on the seatbelt just a month before and it did the same thing during the crash.

However no lawyer would take the case as she wasn't injured "enough". One lawyer we spoke with said he was already $250K out of pocket into a case against Toyota with no trial/settlement in sight. They all basically said that since she wasn't crippled for life or killed there simply wasn't going to be a big enough payout to cover the costs involved, as Toyota would fight tooth and nail for years. She ended up with just what the at fault driver's insurance coverage would pay.

She still has pain from it to this day.

Defendants don't have to choose a trial by jury. In this day and age that's one hell of a gamble, but so are the judges. Even with a jury, the courts could toss these lawsuits if they wanted to.

I would like to nominate these parents for "Parent of the Year". If they would have been parenting like they are supposed to....it wouldnt have happened. What parent allows an 11 year old to vape? One has to wonder if there was any parental supervision at all...

Exactly. Was she vaping her own stuff with her own machine bought with her allowance? Was it a friend? Mom's stash?

As usual, the media doesn't ask the REAL questions, or at least doesn't report the answers.
