Default Daylight Savings Time

I am planning on ignoring it this year and see what happens. I own my own business and deal with customers in many time zones. I will reset my phone and computer clocks[nothing I can do about Dish]. Anybody see any problems?

The time police will come for you.

Seriously though it means nothing, as long as you can add or subtract 1 in your head so you get to the bank or post office on time or deal with other time zones.
Why would you have issues?

I just don’t see the need to “ignore it” because even if the clock in your home or business is set no non daylight savings you still are living and working by daylight savings so what’s the actual point?

Don't do it!
You will create a wrinkle in the time/space continuum that will change everything in history! You yourself may never be born! Then we can't even go back and reset it.....I hate when that happens!

Aren't they getting ready to drop it soon? I thought I read that somewhere recently.

I know they are in Texas.

I can't stand the time change... everyone's all 'Oh, I like it light in the evening during summer". I get ****ing sick of getting up in the pitch black every day of the year. A little sun in the summer would be nice.

I quit wearing a watch when I became self employed.

Now that I'm (unwillingly) retired I set alarms to remind me to get ready for appointments..... Which I can do months ahead of I don't mind Google calendar tracking me..... Let em enjoy my schedule of VA paid Dr appointments.

other than that times are:
Time to eat
Time to sleep
Etc

Adjust your clock.... (No need to complicate things) But ignore it vs your schedule.

My truck clock has been wrong for weeks since I replaced my alternator.
Soo what

I only need a timer for canning..... Might buy an hourglass.

I started a thread on this once:

It's Time to Dump Daylight Savings Time

https://www.survivalistboards.com/sh...d.php?t=461745

It's a classic example of the Left's social engineering. "It's for your own good!"

No different than laws mandating how much water your toilet uses, water restricted shower heads and faucets, LED-mandated light bulbs.

A relic of the 70's.

opposite. I f'n HATE being at work all day on a beautifull fall/winter/spring day to getting home and its pitch black outside. Love how summertime I can get home and have a few hours of daylight before it's night time. You are supposed to wake up when it's dark, and get home with some light...in my perfect world.

I know people whose car and alarm clocks at home are never changed, because they don't know how to do it. They just do the math in their heads, which would get old for me.

I have an old as the hills alarm clock, has got to be 25 years old. It does it automatically. If I lose power for days, the power comes back on and the time is correct.

My 2012 car, with all the crap on that, I have to reset the clock manually.

I'm the opposite. I wake up naturally when the sunrise starts. Most animals are hardwired for this. The sun makes your body secrete different hormones that make you start your day. It is real obvious if you have ever raised ducks or chickens.
When the sun comes up and intensifies, all sorts of stuff happens.

When I am done with work, the sun doesn't matter so much.
I am already awake, systems in motion tend to remain in motion.

But a system at rest (in the morning), wants to remain at rest until spurred on with sunlight, hormones and caffeine!
