Good, they can hold the G-7 at the Motel 6 now.

They'll leave the light on for you.

As it stands, its makes for some pretty bad optics and is just fueling a fire a somewhere.

With all the people who consume and believe what the media tells them, perception is reality and pulling a stunt like this doesn't do anybody any favors.

And to everyone screeching "he is doing it at cost!" that doesn't mean **** particularly when the initial cost will be higher than previously used venues.

Even if his family stands to make no profit, its still going to cost millions of dollars to host regardless. So nobody is really saving any money and his resort is just getting massive PR and promotional advertising by hosting the posh global elites via the tax payer.

4D chess.
Just how much more is "initial cost" at a Trump resort compared to all the 5 star resorts who've hosted it in the past at an actual profit?

For President Trump's sake it's probably the best outcome but, it's more than likely going to cost the US taxpayer more $$$$ by hosting it in some other 5 star resort that has NO INTENTION of not making a sweet profit off the event.

Move it to a libschitt sanctuary city. Be sure and hand out poo-pile maps. Maybe schedule a power outage as well.

Just between you, me and the fence post, I think Trump knew all along that this wouldn't fly. Trolling?

Now he is considering Camp David. So the staff will have to be increased temporary, the entire cost is on us. But I suppose the naysayers believe that is a win for their side. But then we all know Libs/Dems don't worry about how our taxes are spent nor how much we spend.

God no, there was barely a peep when obama took an entourage to Africa at a cost of 100 million dollars. Why did they need to fly in 14 limos.
No matter, libs only complain when it's the other side spending the money.

I also remember when they chastised the inauguration of President Bush for having 350 private aircraft coming in for the event but obama had over 500. Again, for the libs, no problem

Its worth mentioning that hosting a G7 event just in the world wide media exposure is worth more in advertising and marketing than they would ever charge for the event itself. Even though its not been used the Trump empire has benefited by millions of dollars.

All that experience, and you can’t read?

“Would set up better than other alternatives. I announced that I would be willing to do it at NO PROFIT or, if legally permissible, at ZERO COST to the USA. But, as usual, the Hostile Media & their Democrat Partners went CRAZY!”"

I don’t know how “at zero cost to the USA” can be bent much.
And no...I don’t care if they get millions of free advertising, because the same could be said of any other place....except we’d have paid out the nose for it.

Get over yourself. Waaaaa.

Just being Trump with his media exposure, ALL NEGATIVE, is free advertising for his "empire".

Thanks commie news network, pmsnbc, ny slimes, washington compost .... for your 24/7/365 around the world coverage.

Who would have known his Doral Miami property even existed without the loony left going bat-crap crazy about it. How many BILLION goolag searches about "Trump Doral Miami" did this tempest in a teapot generate?

ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, .... gasp .... ha, ha, ha,

Judging from the performance of “his people” over the last two and a half years, they seem quite capable of ****ing things up just fine on their own.

I think you are confusing his political people with his business people. His political people aren’t really his, they belong to the party first. And they screw up everything they touch.

And you libs want MORE political people running more stuff?

That’s just stupid.

I can read, and he said zero cost to the USA only once he claimed to change his decision.

What he said prior to that was AT COST, which is an old con various industry's from golf resorts to aircraft manufacturers use to rip off various groups including not for profits and governments forever.

And its not like hes not pulled a similar trick before, claiming to be doing something for free when in reality charging well above normal rate, to cancer charities no less

Its unethical for ANY president or political leader to use his office as a means to better his business

President Trump’s confidence in his people at Doral might be misplaced. That property has beeen circling the drain for years. His business people are good at failure, too.

President Trump is responsible for the many failures of his administration. The folks who have made the biggest blunders, folks like Mayor Guiliani, Mick Mulvaney, and Ambassador Sondland, are definitely HIS people.

Our former Kurdish allies in Syria would disagree about your assertion that no one died because of their blunders.

Why bother hosting a conference he otherwise would not attend if not to make a buck?
