Yeah it probably is but you need a very popular and viable candidate to do that at the presidential level. There isn't one who can get the votes to win. So voting for an independent candidate actually has a serious impact on the total vote.

Look at this way, say the independent gets 5 million votes and manages to attract say 300000 votes from registered Reps and maybe 200000 from registered Dems. It still comes up short. Granted it makes a statement but doesn't achieve any real purpose. What it does do is take votes from the two parties and you can easily end up with a candidate that is very bad... as opposed to just somewhat bad.

Now at the Congressional level, you stand a change. If successful, after a bit of seasoning, one of them that was smart enough while in office could become a popular person and run for president and could possibly win but that is realistically years away.

The Democrat party has gone so far left, that it's left the yellow dogs and blues dogs without a home

I have to wonder why these people stand for gun control, bigger government, higher taxes, limited speech and loss of due process to ruin this once great country

How can you really vote for someone other than Trump??

Once you take Trump down, what are your choices??

Bernie?
Pocahontas?
Biden?
Harris?
O'Rourke?
Booker?
Buttplug?

Say hello to Socialism!

And yes, at that point, we'll know who the enemy is and we'll know what to do and where to aim
Tom Steyer is bound to shake things up in the November debates.

I won't vote for him either but he could be a big factor.

The difference is, under Trump, we are getting something for the increased debt. A burgeoning economy, rebuilt military, rising wages, etc. Under Obummer, we got nothing.

There is no way austerity will get us out from under the debt. Growth might have a chance.

Not true, under obama we got the record number of food stamp recipients.
Under President Trump we have record unemployment.

The unemployment data isnt as nice as we think it is.

What wall and what military? Trump doesnt create jobs. All we had was two years of fighting when we had total control and a statement again. Nothing changes because they dont care about you

The unemployment rate is as nice as we think it is. I have seen it.
Idiots and drug addicts who are used to not having jobs attempt to work
as landscapers and Truck drivers.

As Mexicans and South Americans, become in short supply, their employers
are making due with some people who are too lazy or stupid to put in a
good days work. I see it every week and its all Trump's fault.

What do you mean turning against him, they have been against him since he won the nomination in 2016. Nothing has changed since!
