Default No Escape - Netflix

I searched for a thread on this, but couldn't find one.

The film No Escape is now on Netflix and is about a family caught out in an uprising. They arrive in the hotel just for the SHTF the next day, with locals out for their blood.

I found the film to be a little far fetched, but good all the same.

The people did know there was an Embassy, but not where it was, nor how to get there. One thing I have noted before seeing this film, was the amount of people who go on holiday abroad (I'm in the UK) who don't know where the Consulate or Embassy is.

Someone I know had a heart problem abroad and had to have an operation, not only did they not contact the Embassy, but they didn't even know that they could. The person in question didn't even have holiday insurance including evacuation, even though he was in his mid 80s.

One thing to note in the UK, most of the Embassies are centralised. I know where the African, American, Irish embassies are, and that is just by working in London.

Overall I would say it's well worth watching the film, there are a lot of lessons to be learnt from it, especially for kids and parents.

Sounds interesting. I can't watch it, though. I canceled Netflix after they boycotted Georgia over their defense of unborn children.

I just checked and you can watch it for free on Tubi, one of the Roku free apps. You can also watch it on any computer.

Check Vudu, it's free to watch too, if it's showing on the free listings. If it's not, you might be able to get it for a fee w/o commercials. No charge to join Vudu and they have most movies on hand.

The last several Netflix movies I have seen recommended here, are NOT on Netflix DVD service... For those of us who don't have much internet access (we could use our whole month's worth of 'high' speed to watch ONE movie, with frequent pauses and breakup's) I wonder how much Netflix is putting 'new' movies on DVD's
