Default G41 questions

Advertise Here

So, I picked up a LNIB G41 stupid cheap intending to convert it to a 10mm.

Well apparently unlike the 21 that's not a good idea if your planning on using heavy loads.

It came with 3 mags (one of which I'll keep when I sell it.)
and a pack of unopened:
Glock Mos (Modular Optic System) adapter set

This is the first glock I've bought with the factory slide cut:

1. Are these MOS's specific to the G41? (Don't think so as it doesn't say so.)
2. Do these come with slide cut glocks, or did the guy I got it from buy it separately? ( Looks like "sold separately" packaging)

(If the answers are no and no, I'll keep it for a RMR and the third mag will go into the pile.)

Looked around a bit online and couldn't tell.

Thank you.

Couldn't really telly ya'. I just shoot mine "as is".

You should consider hanging on to it. Of all the Glocks in the stable, I REALLY like that one a LOT.

Did you buy it new?

Did it come with a sheet of shrinkwrapped paper with 4 adapter plates, screws and an alien wrench?

I did as a matter of fact. Give me a day to go dig out the box and I'll get back to you. It felt great with the stock backstrap on it so in the CQB it went and the magazines in the pouch. Wasn't interested in any other goodies in the box after that. It was shooting too good to care.

I have a Gen5 mos 17, the 4 pack is part of the full box as well as 3 mags, a speed loader and 4 backstraps.

Nomad, mine is a Gen4. It did not come with all the other goodies you mentioned. Just the 3 mags, 4 additional backstraps, installation tool and screw driver to adjust rear sight windage / elevation.

The Glock 40 MOS is the only Glock whos plates aren't designed for all other models. Every other MOS plate model will work with any other Glock MOS. So if you get a Glock 19 MOS later down the road with no MOS plates, the ones that came with your Glock 41 will work. My Glock 40 MOS came with the plates directly from Glock.

I'm not sure if the Glock 40 plates will still work or not but they're slightly wider than the other guns so I doubt it.

The 41 is not the same frame/slide width as the 21, they're supposedly 9mm/.40 S&W slide width, unfortunately.

As mentioned, the G41 slide is really a 9mm sized slide as far as thickness of the steel itself.
They take sights for the G17 and similar sized models.
I screwed around for a half hour trying to figure out why the front sight for a G21 wouldnt tighten down on my 41.

Have you even shot it?
They are hella shooters, at least mine is.

They come new with three mags, shorting someone out of a $20 mag may cost you more than the mag is worth in the end?

My Gen 4 Glock 40 MOS came with:
3 Magazines
4 Plates w/wrench & screws
1 Loader
4 back straps

10 mm is the fist of an angry God.

If you wanna run really HOT loads all the time move up to a 20lb spring.

I think my G40 shoots with less recoil than G22. The weight of the G40 w/Delta Point is perfect for my hands. Lehigh Defense 140 and 180 penetrator bullets are amazing.

Head shots at 25 yards on a standard B27 target all day long. Glock got the 41 right.
