Bike armor has no need for protection from punctures from the front, unless things have changed drastically since I quit road racing in 1990. Knees, spine, elbows, hips from impacts, yes. Might be good for confrontation with club-wielding Antifa types, though.

Unless it's concealed and they are striking at protected vitals for which they don't know are armored.

And, also, the same could be said about ballistic armor worn by all police and military folks. Cover the vitals ...

A lot different than the motocross gear I was thinking of, and used to wear when racing.
