My biggest fear is not being able to secure a better future for my wife and sons, is war, famine, disease for my family, is enslavement by corporations or being involved in some superpower's game, like in middle-east.

That is a justifiable worry. Throughout human existence there have been groups of people who have felt uneasy with their surroundings and/or culture and have felt compelled to move. I have no idea when or to where, but I think that will be the only salvation for many of us. Join with likeminded folks that want better for their family than what modern America appears to be offering.

It might be Porto Rico. Or Texas. Or maybe the New South. But history shows that rugged individualists always find a way to separate themselves from the elements that would attempt to make them conform.

Most SB readers believe in hard work and reaping what you sow. They love family, nature, security and simple pleasures. But another large percentage of this country are free-loaders, extortionists and lovers of the Robin Hood theory. In a one-man-one-vote society, separation with like-minded families is about the only viable solution.

I can't believe more people aren't saying that they fear Hitlery becoming president.

Not sure why. Hitlery becoming president means another four year extension of Obomit's policies and agenda and a whole lot more if not out right war. Even Putin has said that Trump means peace whereas Hitlery will want to foster it.

There has been a torrent of information coming from Wikileaks about the extent of Hitlerys corruption and nobody has directly addressed that in this thread. I'm scared silly about this election because I KNOW what it means for this country. It also means civil war. The writing on the wall must be in invisible ink and I'm the only one that can read it. That's also scary.

Your greatest fear is an EMP? Hitlery has a greater than 50% chance of winning this election and your greatest fear is an EMP? Have you done a reality check? Are you this much out of touch?

That this country is screwed up completely - not so much for myself, but for my family - kids and grandkids especially some have no clue what could be coming. They don't live nearby - so being out of touch with them....That's my biggest fear. Yikes!
Praying for our country to be saved! NO democrat for sure Please God!!!

My other big fear is I'm 8 years from retirement age. My wife is set but I have nothing. I really don't know what I'm going to do. I joke with the wife to hope for a early death so at least she will get my life Ins. Problem is, I'm not really joking.
Wow am I in a sad depressing mood
GTN, do not despair. Stop looking so far down the road. Concentrate on today. Go to work this morning in order to pay your bills, and spend the rest of the day showing your wife how much you treasure her. Having a supportive, loving wife makes you extremely fortunate. Having a job is better than not having one. You ain't done yet. Your still breathin'. Never too late to reach a goal as long as you ain't 6' under.

You say you have grandkids. Congrats! You are already a success. You raised your child(ren) and they are parents themselves. You provided them with food and shelter. You accomplished the goal of every father.

Focus on that which you do have. Hold your wive's hand. Go for a walk with her by a river. Enjoy the warmth of the sun and her love. Kiss her sweetly and enjoy the abundance that money cannot buy...and suddenly you will see you are a very rich man!

Sometimes, I fear my massive capacity to hate but, not usually. Not much else can scare me.

Red face Pardon my snicker~

I have to laugh to keep from crying.....
My greatest fear is that like today, my family will not take me seriously and
will not help.
I have stockpiled food, water purification, water containers, implements to make rocket stoves, blankets and all kinds of tools and items to stay in my home if possible if SHTF....

I have a BOB that I can barely lift, and also have a pretty good
cache in my truck, under the back seat, but I know I am missing some things.

I just had an argument with one son and my husband, who believe that in
a nuclear war everyone would be dead: pulverized or atomized.

As some said on the thread that discussed this, I am a survivor. I find it irritating and even insulting that they are in denial or care so little for the life that God (and in my kid's cases, I gave them) gave them as to not want to plan for survival and read and prepare.

I am frustrated.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself..... That and of course, the Boogey man, or Hillary being elected."

Any thing else I can deal with.

It was not Churchill. Franklin D Roosevelt said these words. He may have paraphrased an entry from Thoureau's journal.

EMP! I can't figure how my wife and kids will make it without cell phone, Facebook, and shopping at the mall. I fear that I would go crazy, because of constant complaining!

Default My Biggest Fear

My biggest fear is the election we are about to have in this country. I fear that it is going to divide the country so badly it will make the civil war look like a kids tea party. This country is so polarized now, that this election will push the opposites over the edge. The liberals are already using extreme violence against the conservatives and the conservatives are so heavily armed that the election will be the spark that will send this country down the tubes. I can see the US divided geographically between two warring factions and then some world power thinking it can wait it all out and then move in and take over. I never thought I would see this all in my lifetime but it looks more and more like I will and to be honest, it scares the holy heck out of me at my age.
Dear God I pray I am wrong and live out my years in relative peace
