Water in the barrel? Dirt in there? Any updated information on what caused the blow-up in the first place?

Looks like Shenanagins to me. Has anyone seen a barrel banana like that in real life?

OUCH! Probably set his gun down in the dirt somewhere and didn't check the bore for debris. I've heard a barrel can banana like that in a situation like that, if a chunk of sand or dirt gets in there deep enough. The only other cause I've heard can do that is the wrong ammo, but who knows. I just say OUCH!!!

While not there to witness it, I have seen that exact result before.

There's a very remote general store that has it on display as a reminder to hunters, to keep their barrels clean.

Practice safe hunting, use a condom.

Who knows what this jackhole did. He could have tripped and planted the end of his barrel, the guy seemed a little careless and too eager as he didn't even seem bothered that his gun just exploded.
