Ford is offering a pretty good off-road package as an option in the 2020 Super Duty.

Needs a front locker instead of the limited slip along with a winch to compete with the Dodge PowerWagon package.

Only available on Xlt and up so its starting $$$ is gonna be high. The power wagon can be had on tradesman package saving you some money.. either way for price of any new truck I doubt I'm doing any serious offroad work or play.

If I need to go off road other than something simple I use my unimog, I'm not concerned if it gets scratches or dings and its warranty expired long ago.

I don't know if it has changed but the Power Wagon didn't have much in the way of load capacity when it was first introduced.

My friend was talked into the Power Wagon back in 2007 and despite the dealer's assurances that it would handle his pop-up truck camper it was a total joke. The camper had the truck dragging it's tail down the road. The dealer ended up buying it back and selling him the 2500 he had wanted originally. Though now he had to get one with the 2008 smog crap he had been trying to avoid.

Iím a ford guy , Iíve havenít driven a gas truck since 1987 but the diesels are just not worth the trouble or the money you need to pay for them .
I bought a 2019 f350 in May .
I was not in love with it , but I need a truck
I ended paying 36 k pluse tax .
It has a 8í bed reg cab , , STX package , chrom bumpers , off road tires plow package , with a 430 rear locking axle and a few more goodies .
I pull a14000 lb trailer with it and it really Handel the load well .
I can pull a steep grade in 3rd gear at 45 mph (itís not a diesel )
The truck is good off road as is .
I get 15mpg driving 67 mph I can live with that .
The the new motor look good Though
