There's also a "red band" trailer that you have to sign in to youtube in order to view. I guess it might not be appropriate for all ages.

I doubt it will do much to highlight the epic failure of Clinton and Obama, But anything that throws some sunshine on the mold i'm all for.

An interesting piece from the Chicago Tribune. Apparently critics are already giving the movie a hard time because "Bay’s [the director] films contain unsubtle conservative messages."

"Why critics are hating on the Benghazi film they haven't seen"

I didn't realize that this was based on the book 13 Hours:The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi which was written by the Annex Security Team, so I have a little more hope for the movie. I just finished reading the book, which was pretty interesting and a good, quick read.

I'll go see it 3 times. Just like I did with American Sniper and Lone Survivor. Maybe it will send a message to the exec's in hollywierd.

SPOILER ALERT

I liked the book a lot snd purchased it after watching several of the men tell their stories on Fox News.

Typical military, no B.S., tell it like it was guys.

Couple of "Elephants in the Room" for me were the following:

1. Who was their boss, "Bob" on the phone with, who told him to "Stand Down" and not to go to the aid of the Ambassador and his team?

2. What did Hillary and her staff do or not do to assist those on the ground.

3. Who told the military forces to stand down in Italy and at other locations.

4. Why did the mortar crews suddenly stop firing at tge CIA Annex, when they clearly were on target. I think the answer is an unauthorized drone attack, taking out the mortar.

Just got back from watching it...

I think it was a good movie, but failed to call out those who's actions and inaction were responsible.

The reality this film held back from is that Hillary Clinton doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground and has no business in a position where she is responsible for other people's lives.

I hear they specifically left out politics.

It's supposed to be like if you were there...with no clue what is going on or why.

Just watched it. I liked the movie.
I wish I could quote the exact lines that I liked but I only watched the movie once so far.
My main take away is that we as in our country does not need to be there.
We may have thought at some time, 20 or 30 years ago that we could make a difference. We should know by now we can't. There is nothing we can do to help these countries and there is no longer anything there that we cannot get for ourselves here in our own country or from somewhere else that WANTS our business.
I used to hear that we have to stop them over there so they don't come here, now we have to die over there so we can import them to come here.
We should not use our men or women to fight in the endless wars of the middle east especially using the half measures that our government is prepared to use. Lack of support and backup. Chris Stephens was raped and tortured and murdered for nothing and the "friendlies" knew it was coming and did nothing to warn or help. Who are the friendlies? How the hell do I know?

I'm with you. I lean towards isolationism.

Bring them all home and lock up the borders ****ing tight.

The World is SPEEDING towards the crapper and we need those warriors right here.

Orange, I have taken too long to arrive at the viewpoint you stated so clearly, and then Grevlin builds upon your point very well. Thank you both.

Nobody ever wins a conflict by playing defense. It would be nice to think that if we leave them alone they will leave us alone. WON"T HAPPEN. JUST LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY. THEY WANT TO KILL US.
So we leave them alone to do as they wish. What are they going to do. Left to themselves they will develop the means to kill us. Atom bombs, H bombs, rockets to deliver them.

I saw it on Friday, 1-15-16. Very well done and it didn't get into politics. It did bring the story back to the forefront. The Megyn Kelly interview with three of the survivors indicated that they were heavily involved with the production and it ran true to what happened. There were a lot of ****ed off military veterans in the theater too.

It's a must see.

I worry that I will get...emotional during the movie. Or worse, suppress it because I'm around other people.

I sort of decided to wait till blu-ray.

But I really want to see it.

I saw it in crystal clear 4K and it looked great.

They say they don't get into the politics of it, but there is no mistaking that there was a drone overhead and everything was seen and known...by all. Several crews were preparing to fly int o help, armed men onboard sitting on the tarmac waiting to go. but they never took off.

I have the philosophy that we should try to support movies like this-- movies that also have conservative values. It sends a message to the Hollywood liberals that we are a market to be reckoned with.
