Default Should We Offer a Build-it-Yourself Slingshot Kit?

Advertise Here

One of the things that we are considering is offering a build-it-yourself kit for our y-shot and gloveshot slingshots.

Y-shot: http://www.montiegear.com/Slingshot_Y-Shot.html
Gloveshot: http://www.montiegear.com/Slingshot_Gloveshot.html

The slingshot would come unassembled and the paracord handle would not be wrapped. The kit would offer the same parts and detailed instructions on how to assemble the slingshot and wrap the handle. The cost would be less, reflecting the fact that we didn't have to assemble the slingshot.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for your input!

for $130.00 uhm no.

sorry I know its probably worth it but for less than $2.00 I can make one out of a tree limb, some surgical tubing and a piece of buckskin and spend the remainder of the money on other gear.

The glove shot is pretty cool. If we didn't already have several traditional, we would consider buying.

I think it's a great idea.

The prices are ridiculous, but they say there is a sucker born every minute.

What would the price be with no paracord at all?

Rem,

Sometime when you are coming through NC, please come by for a tour. I'll show you exactly how me make our products and what drives the prices.

Why would you need a kit ? it's not exactly rocket science . built them when I was a kid . But if you think there is a market for them more power to you .

It's very likely that I will never see NC.

Can you take some photos? Make a video maybe? There might be quite a few people who are interested.

The cost is completely out of my budget. Maybe others are more fortunate.

Because each slingshot is made to order, please expect a 1-2 week delivery time from our receipt of your order. If it is going to be longer than 2 weeks, we'll email you with the expected delivery time.
Chicken egg sort of a deal? You cannot mass produce because they cost too much and you cannot lower the price because you cannot mass produce them?

Default Pictures and Mass Production

Thanks for the reply.

Would you like to see pictures showing how we build them?

We considered doing an injection molded version of the Y-Shot and AR-Rest.
