I have p38s and the larger P51s scattered around. Bought 10 of each about a year ago to replace ones I had given away or "walked" off.

Have had a P38 on my key chain since the last box of "C" rats was opened circa 1984.

A few years ago I saw a teen girl in downtown of the state capitol, she was beating a can of sting beans against the curb. I asked her if I could help her.
Whipped out the P38 and had it open in seconds. She went wally world the next day and bought one.

Must be one of those cheap cans they have now. You could stand a car on four cans back in the 60's.

I keep a several P-38's or P-51's in all my survival gear & vehicles.
Even have a couple on key chains.
Compact, lightweight, efficient & about bullet proof
