Actually with the major metropoliton areas divided between all three the result is one BLUE State and two purple (soon to turn blue) ones. There are no conservative States getting created in that 3-way split.

Be that as it may, it will NEVER happen at the National level no matter what the CA voters say.

Yes, I smell a liberal rat here as well.

If this actually comes to pass, look for other blue states to split into enough states to give these commie bastards some sort of insurmountable, sick, twisted and yes demented super majority in national elections.

Sweet. Instead of three major liberal cities controlling one state, they can each control three separate states. I’ll be voting no. It’s Jefferson or nothing.

LOL, I suppose it could happen. If the Calfornicator legislature says yes and then Congress votes yes, we would have the State of Red, The State of Blue and the State of Delusion.

Since it wound be grossly unfair to have "blue" voters living in the Red or Delusional State outnumbered or vice-versa, some gerrymandering would be in order. You know, draw the lines so everyone gets equally ****ed. LOL. Wouldn't want the true libs to get outnumbered accidentally by those evil trumpists now, would we?

One problem with the proposed split is that Northern California would have San Francisco attached to it like a malignant tumor.

Downgrade the failed liberal parts to a territory and treat them like Puerto Rico.

No voting rights.

I didn't say anything about cleansing or forced relocations. I'm talking about deciding which counties go to which state depending on red/blue election results, population density, or other similar variables. It looks like they split up the red counties and added them to blue cities to maintain a majority blue vote. That's a classic tactic called gerrymandering. It ensures the red areas get no representation in state or national government.

I know you didn't and I wasn't inferring you did, just wondering out loud sorta.
I can see the gerrymandering aspect as it fits their interests. But should some effort successfully stop that and an actual lib vs conservative creation happen, I wonder what happens to those living "behind the lines". Will they stay and fight to change the new to what they want or pack up and move?

The thing is: that California is far from being a monolithic liberal state.

There are very large parts of the state that are conservative.

The liberals and Leftists are concentrated along the coasts from San Francisco and on down south.

Northern and Western California, and parts of the south, went for Trump in the last election.

The liberals control the entire state government. These large groups of conservatives are invisible, confused, gerrymandered or locked out by design.

With that being the case, the California state government will only allow the states of Marx, Trotsky and Stalin to be formed. There will never be a state of Jefferson or any other place in California named after an old white slaveholder.

If Cali splits in 3, vote in the 2 conservative parts, let the liberal cesspool be it's own nation. In order to make things easy, we can vote out or throw out 2 more lefty states and we won't have to change the flag

Politics aside, they should name the three parts High Cal, Low Cal, and NO Cal.

That graphic doesn't tell the whole truth. Just like the State itself, the County I live in, San Bernardino (largest in the Country and bigger then some States) went blue not because we all wanted it but because the city of San Bernardino (where 45% are on welfare) has more votes then the rest of the rural, mostly conservative areas of the county

There is no way that Sacramento will allow the creation of a conservative state. the best you could hope for is a purple state with the blue cancers on it's border. The infection will definitely spread.

Sorry guys, but you people that arent liberal-whackos need to give up and move out of the state. California was lost 20+ yrs ago

I've been hearing Texas has 3-5 years for 20 years now. Actually Ann Richards was supposed to be the first of a permanent Democrat takeover of the state. Instead she was the last state wide democrat elected. If they give illegals amnesty, yes, Texas will go blue. But I dont see that happening because the election of Trump revealed how fed up the public is with the Liberals

And southern California would have San Diego. The coast should be one state with the central portion divided into two states. We here in Fresno have nothing in common with San Diego and Northern California sure as hell does not want San Francisco.

Where did you get the information that the State of Jefferson Folks endorsed this.
I get other reactions from the State of Jefferson Folks and The east/ west Calif folks. http://sfist.com/2017/03/26/latest_c...it_califor.php

Many of us that want to split the state see this as a scam by the democrats to keep control.

CAL3 has been carefully gerrymandered for the democrats to win.
Tim Draper is a democrat and has worked with the party to set this up.
