Default portable toilet for $90 bucks or just bend over in a hole?

Advertise Here

well, Ive been contemplating this... I would buy it in a heartbeat if it wasnt $90 bucks. I supose I could go a cheaper route and buy a bucket seat or something but If ur going to make it more convenient, get a nice outside toilet, or just bend over in a hole. I dont remember ever having to do this while camping, but I havent camped that much... Im trying to keep things as enjoyable as possible on my road trip.

what do u prefer?

This is the one I am looking at:

You can get bucket toilet lids cheap.... Just throw in a trash bag. Same thing.

I bought the toilet seat with lid which fits on a five gallon bucket on Amazon.

Did not cost much.

I have a portable chemical toilet. Its a lot nicer to use than a plastic bag.

I'm used to doing it bear style. However, at hunting camp we just dig a hole with post-hole diggers. Someone took an old kitchen chair and cut a hole in the center, they also mounted a toilet paper roll on it.

I can see where this creature comfort with a toilet lid would come in handy in a BOL especially if you had women, kids, or some seriously cold weather.

If I was bugging in, Id just put a trash bag in the toilet and put the lid down.

Not necessarily. Actually, if you are in a BOL or Buggin in for any decent amount of time, this could be very important. Sanitation is an issue in this situation.
