Default Civil Unrest Reports - Please list them as you see them

Advertise Here

It seems as if most of us are expecting some form of civil unrest before this is all over. Theft, violence, etc.

I figured it would be good to have a single place where we could list them to keep track of them easily.

So list them if you've got them and please remember to include city and state so we can keep track of our own areas better.

It's starting in Europe now. We are what two or three weeks behind them with the virus spread?

Here is another older report of college students rioting over COVID-19 just because they could. This was 10 days ago.

People are getting reckless, I see more minor fender benders now. One last night about 7:30 involving 2 cars in a parking lot, there was a cop there.

I related an experience on the financial forum, ATM lines are getting out of hand now the branches are closed. I can use the ATM at many stores with no fee, so I'm ok.

I've noticed a lot of people (usually out of staters) driving 20+ miles over the speed limit on the interstate. Our county highway is posted 55 and I had someone pass me yesterday going over 80 mph. Are people believing that law enforcement isn't patrolling? Am I wrong in thinking they are?

Yah, and seems SOME are taking out anger/frustrations on anyone/everyone. They need to realize everyone’s in the same boat.

Had a guy merging into the highway on the drive home from the airport yesterday. He had ample room to just merge in, but opted to slow down, causing me to get near him. By no means up his bumper as in back in Massachusetts. Then he tries a sad attempt at a “brake surprise” - slamming his brakes unnecessarily & slowing further...sigh.

Seeing as we’re defensive drivers in our house, was well prepared for his annoying shenanigans & had already given him further room. Then he turns round & flips me off. Sigh...again. I just gave him a “what’s up” cordial wave of my hands.

Markedly unusual to flip anyone off out here. Have done so maybe once in 15 years. Near on everyday occurrence back in Mass (& treated like a Hi Howdy).

Then guy floors it and takes off on his crazy way. I just went back up to the speed limit + a few on cruise control.

Mind, any reasonable person would obviously realize I simply could have just about driven over his little car without hardly any risk to harm to myself nor my truck. Sigh...just give the loons extra space & head on a swivel.

Cops in Tulsa are on "operation slick streets" (we get A LOT of ice) protocol. Unless you call an ambulance they don't show up at accidents. You file your own report on their website.

If that is the case where you are Jojo, stay safe and be careful. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you because then I wouldn't have as many democrats on here to **** off. but seriously just be careful.

Looting is starting to happen everywhere and people on Twitter are even excited about it.

Prepare to be horrified and say "I told ya so" to anyone that scoffed when you said it might happen.

People are starting to get really angry about the tourist still in the Hawaiian islands and that they will not shut completely down the islands. I have seen severe really mad people yelling at tourist to go home. Although nothing major until....today we had a three-hour convoy of over 100 honking vehicles, flying Hawaiian flags, traveled from the Airport to Waikiki in protest of visitors being allowed to remain. The government does not do something it could turn ugly. Big Island is trying to get rid of their mayor.

GA State patrol no longer making traffic stops for violations such as speeding. They will still respond to wrecks but no standard stops.

It's out there but looks like it's either being buried under all the other stories or being kept quite, especially in CA. A beer truck was hijacked a few days back and now today I hear on the scanner of shots being fired on the 58 down by Mojave/Cal City in the same area. Not necessarily civil unrest but you're going to start to see crime on the rise, at least in CA

If you think about a situation in which stores are unmanned, and police presence is down, it makes a prime environment for crime/looting/burglary, unfortunately. We will start to see a lot of people's true nature come out now that the chips are down.

Marking this to check back. In Michigan, it's pretty calm and life as usual aside from light traffic.
