I'm sure that is very comforting to the 25,000 people who did not get jobs due to this idiot's communist view of Amazon.

You know I lost my job back in 2009 and again January of this year and both times I looked for work and what wages they offered have not changed at all, in fact some benefits diminished or disappeared altogether. Most employers Ive asked get offended when I say $10 a hour is all you pay and for this area its common. I get up and say thanks but no thanks, Ill live off my savings until someone pays decent wages and benefits.
Yet we have this dingbat begging for a raise that SHE can vote in and go on to say its to discourage bribery. Poor fool cant live on 174k a year and I do just fine on 10k a year. Congress can suck it

What’s even more disturbing were the thousands of fools on Facebook defending her position.

She's wrong on everything.
Raising Congress's pay won't stop them from taking bribes.

Like um, how about like prosecuting anyone that like takes a bribe?

Unfortunately congress can trade on inside information and create "foundations" to enrich themselves. Given that, their salaries should be minimum wage.

I think we'd be better off to have congress populated with average citizens. The average citizen called to public service like jury duty. It couldn't be worse than we have now. There should not be career politicians, serve your country for a limited time and get back to your life.
Stop the practice of special interest groups writing legislation that Congress votes on and "passes the bill to find out what's in it"

I thought that was the original intention. The original congressmen lived in their districts, worked in their districts at their own businesses, and periodically all met together to pass laws.

All elected officials' salaries(if they get one at all) should be the same as the median incomes of their constituencies. If they want a raise, all they have to do is represent their people better.

We are seeing Taxation Without Representation. These people do nothing but hatch hare-brained schemes to take down a sitting POTUS.

AOC has got to be the greatest LARP of all time with this ditty....

I has gotten transferred into another department at work 30 years back. Actually my group moved in, all 5 of us. There were people that ran travel agencies out of a desk drawer, 3 people ran lottery probability programs on computers all day every day. The day did come when there was a major house cleaning and the 5 of us stayed. No such luck with that happening in Congress.

I wonder how quickly they'd be against illegal immigration.....
Which is about ~50% of the cause of about 30 years of wage deflation/stagnation.

Little does she know, that politicians will take that raise....

And still take the bribe

And still take donations

And still do insider trading

And still use campaign funds for personal use

And then vote according to the lobbyists and their money

AOC Already Wants a Raise on Her $174K Salary - YouTube

The girl who's opposed to rich people and government corruption and who's all about helping "the little folks" already has big dollar signs in her pupils. That didn't take long!

America is in debt to the tune of around $22 trillion (I think I'm right) and this little harlot wants taxpayers to give her a much needed raise. Nitwit!

Hey, when asked where he was going to get the money to pay for her Green New Deal, her answer was, "just print it."

Those sound like words of wisdom from someone with a degree in International Relations and Economics from Boston University. That's what you learn with a liberal college education these days.

Using her imbecilic "logic," we need only print a million dollars for every person in America (and the ones still heading this way) and we'd be a nation of millionaires. Why didn't I think of that?
