Watched a pretty good movie on Amazon Prime today. "E.M.P. 333 Days".
It's about an 11 year old girl trying to survive after Korea causes(?) an EMP. She's with her grandmother while her dad is away on business. Grandma has a pacemaker and........

Sounds like a repeat of the book "One Second After ".

Probably deserves to be a movie though.

I take it Grandma did not fare well?

It's nothing like One Second After. Sadly, Grandma is not ok. But.......

A different survival story from a child’s view. It was entertaining.

If you like this you might want to consider The Battery. Also on Prime. Also a low budget apocalyptic movie, slow moving but interesting. Has zombies, but even if you don't really like zombies, it's more about survival. Loved it.

Thanks for the recommendation on this movie, EMP. Pretty good.

`

Is it an actual movie in English or is it a reader? I don't watch movies if the movie requires me to read subtitles, I can just read a book if I feel like reading. I like watching movies where I can see the actors, scenery, action, etc.

I watched it last night and the new version of Red Dawn. I found it interesting that the movies were made 7 years apart, but both illustrated Korea being involved, except that Russia was involved too in Red Dawn.
Think the movie industry gives these countrie's ideas about attacking the U.S.?

I liked the movie, but the back-woods, felon, redneck survivalists, were just too much.

Edit: Sorry, I was thinking about the movie RadioFlash

Just saw it, one of the more realistic of the genera. Not as entertaining as most but much more realistic.

Just watched this yesterday, not bad at all. Obviously a low budget film (no wide angle shots or extras) and the rednecks were terrible as mentioned but there were many good survival tips used in the film. No more spoilers....

Saw this as well. I thought it was good but should be aimed at non-preppers. It might open their eyes to possibilities.

Thanks to the OP for mentioning this movie.

I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. The main actress isn't gonna win any Oscars or anything but the movie itself was fine.

I'm a "bug in" type myself, but this movie captures what a "bug out" type may go through. It helps me visualize some of the concepts shared on this board.

I've watched most of these movies as well to garner ideas mostly. I notice the most desirable commodities are food, water, medicines, and women! It's a consistent thread with these movies.
