Every gun I ever bought on the net, or sold on the net, has to be shipped to a FFL dealer for the paperwork and background check.

Are the dems just stupid because they don't buy guns and know what is involved? Or is it just a talking 'propaganda' point?

The only thing you can buy on the internet are parts, but not a receiver. Dem's lie a lot to get what they want.

Some is ignorance. Some is willful ignorance.
Watch the numerous YouTubers who go and interview protesters at antigun rallies. The Stupid is painful to witness.
Because of media and other misinformation, there are a large number of people who believe that "any 15 year old can walk into a gun shop and buy a fully automatic assault rifle without any kind of a background check".

Mostly they're just ignorant. Even the ones that know it's not right don't care, cause most people are clueless & aren't going to investigate it for themselves, so they can scare the bejeesus out of them with lies. They also love publicity stunts.

I think they are referring to online sites such armlists that connects you with private sellers. In certain states, background checks are not required in those situations. At least I suspect that was the intended reference. Then others probably came along and expanded their perspective on the matter.

Exactly.

Take a liberal shooting. Teach them the true meaning of the 2nd amendment. Iíve converted two people in the past few years. Itís a small number compared to the entire group we are up against but itís what we need to do. Complaining about the anti-gunners with people that think the way we do doesnít help the cause. Going to a pro-gun rally doesnít really help the cause. It takes building a relationship and trust with someone that thinks differently. Besides, it might help you meet some new shooting buddies.

Well we have a local online site where people buy/sell pretty much everything, like an online yard sale. I've bought & sold many guns, ammo & parts on there, but those are face to face private transactions, I'm not sending a gun nor getting any guns through the mail. Then of course, they can go to a licensed FFL dealer & get one like this guy did. This should keep the libs happy.

It is a attempt to eliminate/restrict private gun sales. After all it is not like anyone would do anything that was illegal or lie about their past or intentions, would they on a background form? At some point it will morph into you can only own guns that you store with the legal authorities and require you to check them out for purposes of sport or hunting.

And --

There is no gun show loop hole !

There is no gun show loop hole !

There is no gun show loop hole !

Buy a gun "in" a show - you don't get it if the NICS or 4473 doesn't go through

Buy a gun in the parking lot - go in & do it legally

Don’t -- you & the seller just broke the law

Here -- walk into a show to sell the firearm your carrying -- its safety checked at the door - surrender your drivers license -- no gun leaving - no license & PD is called ----- buyer tries to walk out with in -- without the NICS / 4473 paper work - PD called

There is no gun show loop hole !

Memorize this and repeat it when you encounter the brain washed in the real world

( Edit --- some states don't require a NICS check -- so check your local "federally applied laws" )

The assault is on private sales. I have bought and traded through ads on the internet. No background checks or even receipts and ids required legally as long as it is in the same state. A firearm is just another form of property in free states.

The Feds should butt out.

Let the states create their own firearms laws. Let the libtards have their gun free, safe zone, unicorn/rainbow and poop stained states and all Americans, who believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, (the reasonable, respectful people) can move to their firearm friendly states.

It's no wonder they want to ban everything, they think everyone is just as hateful and messed up in their head as they are.

Betcha libs would learn, at lightning speed, just how 'Safe" their gun free zones are. Lesson learned. NEXT.

That depends entirely on the state you are in.

Private sales are legal in many states as long as you dont sell knowingly to a felon.
As long as you sell to within your and the buyers state.
Private sales out of state require shipping and transfer through a FFL in the buyers state.

But generally, private sellers unwittingly selling to felons is a <1% "problem". Most of the time when selling to a felon they know fully well they are selling to a felon. Which is illegal in all states and federally.
And which is almost never prosecuted.

What exactly will change with requiring all legal sales to go through an FFL ? Nothing, except another penalty trap and cost for legal owners.

I've wondered if it might be easier to reach women who are anti-2A by painting the right to bear arms as a feminist issue.

Maybe something like this...

(picture a radio announcer's voice saying this)
--------------------------

A thug breaks into your house in the middle of the night.

What if the police don't get there in time?

How do you plan to save yourself?

How do you plan to save your children?

Are you going to stomp your foot and call him names?

If a locked door didn't deter him, do you think being called names will?

Or will it just make him angry?

Are you going to beat him up?

The average man is taller, weighs more, and has twice the upper body strength of the average woman.

...do you really think you're going to win that fight?

There are men and there are women, but Colonel Colt made them equal. Arm yourself.

I could agree, in premise, just to show the libs.....BUT I think the Feds need to butt in instead. States have no business being involved in an Right granted all of us in the Bill Of Rights!

Take any other of the 10 original amendments.....should it be ok to speak freely in Arizona and then lose that right when you cross the border into California? Of course not. What about religion? What about Search and seizure? Self incrimination?

When Trump gets another 4 years, and hopefully another SCOTUS pick, I think/hope he will take on CA.....

Here in Illinois, people are now required to get a number from the state government before you do a person-to-person sale of any firearm. Once you get that number you have to hold on to it and the name of the person you sold the firearm to for so many years as well. People are now fleeing, and fleeing is the right word, this American version of North Korea at an alarming rate. So if you want to see what kind of stupidity you can expect to hit you in the next couple of years courtesy of the Democrats, take a hard look at the laws inflicted on the people of Illinois by the Democrats here.
