Last weekend my wife and I picked up some tomatoes from the local Lowes store.

2 - Grape Tomato plants
2 - Big Beef plants
1 - Patio Tomato plant

The 2 grape tomatoes were planted in an elongated tub, 1 big beef was planted in a potter, 1 big beef and the patio tomato was planted in large plastic wash tubs.

The plants that were planted in the wash tubs, a mixture of miracle grow organic potting soil, old horse manure and 13-13-13 was used.

Last year I used plastic totes with holes for drainage. Did the square foot gardening formula of 1/3 vermiculite, 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 blended compost...Maters were awesome!
