Having been on for awhile but... it appears that NRA carry guard insurance program is non existant. They never notified any one and now your insurance policy is a training program. How underhanded is that!

Yet ANOTHER swindle by (N)o (R)ights (A)nymore to steal money for the use of the elite while "the little people" are left with less and less.

It's the NRA, what did you expect. There are other Carry insurance programs out there. I wouldn't go to any of their so called "training" either. Here is an NRA "master" pistol instructor in action.

Careful the nra fudds will tell you that even when they show a video of the nra mafia boss. Who goes on to support red flag laws and background checks. His fudd support will tell thats just playing 78d chess and that the nra doesn't really support them.

Indoor shooting range instructor accidentally discharges 44 Magnum gun - YouTube

.
I was at a carry course years ago with an NRA "master" instructor who did the EXACT SAME THING! Had his finger on the trigger the WHOLE time he was "instructing" (it was a semi-auto pistol) and he, too had a NEGLIGENT discharge! Only he shot the ceiling of the building!

He ...

1.) NEVER checked the weapon to see if it was loaded and charged.

2.) NEVER removed the magazine and cleared the weapon to make it safe.

3.) It was NOT HIS WEAPON but a STUDENT'S weapon that he was "demonstrating"!

4.) He REPEATEDLY swept the room with the muzzle at body level while "instructing"!

5.) He did NOT APOLOGIZE for the NEGLIGENT discharge, but instead made a lame excuse and did NOT even advise the class that this is the WRONG way to handle said weapon!

This was a CCW class and I walked out on it after this! Didn't even worry about forfeiting the fee! Was GLAD to get out of there!

Enrolled in another later class taught by the local Sheriff Department. Was worth the wait.

Most of the "instruction" consisted of NRA "doctrine" and solicitation for membership both in the NRA and the local shooting club. NOT interested if THAT is the type of people running things!

Yeah, there are several news stories about NRA instructors shooting themselves or having some other sort of ND. That's the only one I could find that had video of the actual ND though.

After the way NRA treated the USSCA it will be a cold day in a hot place before I patronize them for anything.

Yup. Head to GOA first then join USSCA. You will end up with two great groups: one will actually fight tooth and nail for your 2A rights and the other will immediately go to bat for you if you ever have to defend yourself with your conceal carry. They will also teach you what to say immediately after an incident. Never say too much.
