At the risk of being perceived as lazy, I'd like to ask for your eyes.
What should I be doing with my (parents) yard?
We'll definitely be growing something, but I'll have to be the one pro-active on that.

I'm looking for something easy to maintain. Diversity of vegetation of course.
We live in the back of the neighborhood. Arguably the thrown of the whole neighborhood. We sit at the top of the hill that's above the pool and pond.

Looking for pointers & to cover any unknowns unknowns.

This is the whole yard

Old method of attaching elevated porch was simply nailing it to house, this often collapsed under stress. Approved method of attaching to house is to use metal brackets attached to framing.
