This is just the start of stupid in Yellowstone, there was also some lady who was wondering off the boardwalks in an area of hot springs and yes, she managed to get burned. I live near Yellowstone Park in Montana and tourists do these stupid things every year. Most of the people who visit the park give the animals a wide berth but every year tourists give the locals stupid entertainment, it is what they do. I am always amazed at the stupidity I witness every time I visit Yellowstone Park. I have no doubt that this is just the beginning. Just my thoughts from the banana belt of Montana.

My understanding is that he shipped him off to a preserve somewhere. So, no.

Yellowstone is very beautiful, interesting and a great place to visit but I would never want to live there or within two hundred miles of it. My mtn place is about 300 miles to the South / SE of Yellowstone.

Here is something that many might have heard about or not. > ""After John Colter discovered what is now Yellowstone National Park, he told others of the scenic wonders there. No one believed him, and his listeners derisively dubbed the imaginary place Colter's Hell." Quote from this interesting article: https://www.nps.gov/parkhistory/onli...rte1/chap4.htm

It is not only Yellowstone where there are "idiots" > "On September 19, 2006, a 28-year-old drunken male tourist visiting Beijing City Zoo named Zhang XX was attacked when he jumped into the giant panda enclosure and tried to pet it to show off to his companion"

That quote from this link and Warning if one scrolls way down you can see some very nice, very gory pics of what a bear bite looks like > https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4276236/
