Default Survivalists / preppers wanted to join my group

Advertise Here

I just saw a similar thread like this in the Florida section and thought maybe I should try once more. Once more as in inviting again, some good outdoors type, survivalist / preppers to join my survival group. I have only two people right now and not sure if I can depend on them to come up much anymore. I think if / when the SHTF or worse then I will likely have a few dozen people come up if they have studied a lot that I have written with pics since 2009. But my mtn place with 2 springs, many trees, abundant wood, wildlife and water is also a great vacation spot. Which is what I mainly have used it for since I bought the land in 1987. I have also built much by myself and I hope to improve it all more someday soon. Would be nice to have some help and also nice to let a few people experience much that I have up there in the remote Rocky Mountains.
There is also a pure wilderness area a mile to the south to get "lost" in if you wish. I almost got lost there once but if you just hike up the mountain in that wild area you will come out on top of the Divide.

Anyone who is considering my offer please first email or send me a message and we can have all winter, until next summer at least to get to know each other thru emails, posts and messages. I have done this before, emailing and exchanging many messages before someone came up to my mtn place in southern Wyoming. And I have posted about that. Only the Watch Ryder worked out best and came up to camp, work some and Live much on and near my mtn retreat. He even built a small cabin / shed on a bit of land I gave him.

Here is more specifically what / who I am looking for >

I have a few acres of mountain land in a national forest in southern Wyoming, about 12 miles west of Encampment, Wyoming. I have written and shown Much about my mtn place / retreat / bunker, sheds and partially built new cabin on this forum. I will not give any links right now but if you check my thread statistics on my profile you should be able to find most of my 10 pic threads.

I am willing to accept a few additional members if you meet the requirements as follows: Must be physically and mentally fit, Prefer just about anyone ( I will tell you in a message if I don't like or would think that you are not right for the mountain, a small family is acceptable although children would likely not like it up there for more than a couple days. Most people probably would not like it up there after a week since it is far from civilization, modern conveniences and a bit primitive, such as for now - just an outhouse.
No felony charges, no alcohol abuse, no use of illegal substances, and I would prefer some kind of Christian faith although my best friend is the Watch Ryder and he is sorta pagan although somewhat Christian also.
An ideal person to camp, work some and Live like few get to live in today's modern suciety, should have skills/ability related to survival although I am willing to teach what I know and the mountain retreat is the best place I know about to learn new survival and other skills.

Military experience a plus, although I do not have any military background, just self taught... The almost exact location of my mtn retreat is 12 miles west of Encampment, Wyoming and one mile east of Battle pass, Wyoming which is at the top of the Continental Divide. I truly doubt anyone but me could find it especially from now to June since there is 3 feet of snow up there now and usually up to 10 feet of snowpack by April. I can see online, a snow survey station that is half a mile from my mtn place.
Real pretty up there as well as the best survival area I have ever seen and experienced and I have traveled all over the western USA and some of the east also.

Maybe look at the "about me" in my public profile to learn much much more.

And I will answer any questions whenever I get back online which is not too much anymore. I also accept people to just come up to visit but from late June to Nov. first and especially the summer months is the Best time to visit up there. Anyway, I am just putting this out there and see if anyone wants to see and experience something different. If you have seen many of my pics and videos you know what I mean.

I have said before that even IF the S never Hits the fan, then I have a good retreat to work, play and Live in. And hope to share it with a few others this summer and in coming years.

I am sure many have seen the following two pics but I would bet many others have not.
Here is a good view looking down on my private dirt road which this pic was taken only a few feet above my bunker on the hill side. >

And a nearby fishing lake which helps show some of the beauty in my mountain area >

Hello there, your place sounds like my dream. I'll be 66 years old tomorrow! I joined the US Army in 1968, wasn't Drafted, and didn't run off to Canada like a chicken____. Got married when I was 18, and have 3 beautiful daughters with families of their own. I have been single for 2 years now! I am a retired Pipefitter Foreman. I've lived in the Colorado Rockies for nearly 3 years in a US Army small GPS Tent. I gathered my food by snaring, Pellet Rifle and fishing. Boiled my water and cooked on a Wood Burning Stove that I had in my tent. Like I said in the beginning, your Mountain sounds like my Life Long Dream! Sincerely, Bill Lanier (PS) I now live in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Mike, are you still doing this? I am interested in buying 2-5 acres in Wyoming, but have not decided more than that yet.

Wow, I cannot hardly believe that I missed this post. I did not ignore you ramblingvanman, I just did not see this - your post - until right now. I was working a lot in April and for the past year or so I have not been online too often mainly once a week to check messages / emails. Which is the best way to contact me, thru private messages or my email which is shown in the red Y on my profile - avatar.

I did answer you fully in a long post in your thread > https://www.survivalistboards.com/sho...5#post15789265

Briefly, is that I am still doing this even if I must do it alone - live as self-sufficiently as possible off grid in a very remote area in Wyoming. It is much more remote from Nov. to June when the roads are closed with deep snow and a person must use a snowmobile or snow shoes to hike in seven miles from the nearest parking area.

So I hope you or anyone else will contact me before June 2018 when I should be permanently moved up to my mtn place - alone or hopefully with one or two others to help and share in the very unique wilderness like Lifestyle up there.

I've seen some of your threads about your place and stuff. I may be interested but a lot could happen before next summer though with all the stuff going on now. I checked into a bus ticket to WY 2-3 yrs ago just to check it out as a possible place to move to (the members here mostly discouraged me from trying). Used to think I'd like coast of Oregon but gave that idea up because of all the libs there. I have cousins in Colorado but now out of touch.

I'm low on cash now and probably would need to find some sort of work out there to stay, unless I go total cave man.

My personal internet access is going out tonight, but I expect to be able to get back online some. OK to PM me questions if you want to, just give me time to respond.

I will send you a pm Lonereb and hope to see a message, even several messages, from you within the next few weeks or months at least. You and anyone else can also use my yahoo email which is found in the red Y on my avatar...

To quote your sentence: "I checked into a bus ticket to WY 2-3 yrs ago just to check it out as a possible place to move to (the members here mostly discouraged me from trying)." And it does not make sense to me unless they do not know the parts of Wyoming that I know or they are afraid of too many moving to Wyoming. And I truly doubt very many will be moving to Wyoming although I might in a month and definitely permanently move to my Wyoming mtn place by the end of June 2018 at the latest.

Lots of luck finding work that pays much but it is possible. More likely in Colorado which I and many I know now call Calirado. I very likely will hire one or two good people to help me next summer. A free place to live, learn all kinds of survival and make some $ but will have to discuss that in private messages or emails.

I must comment on why the photos are not showing. Seems like photobucket has gotten greedy. I notice that many pics on this survivalistboards are missing and have instead the: "please update your account...." pic.

I for one, will not be updating my account. Too bad many of my pic threads are now ruined although many might like that, not seeing what I have posted anymore such as in the Everything about Bunkers thread. Many other good links, pics and videos though beginning on page 2 > https://www.survivalistboards.com/sho...=107463&page=2

Wish I could re-post the pics or even with better pics if -when possible. I know many of my pics are not the best and show some rustic, some say crude buildings but they have worked for me for at least 20 years and I have been simply sharing what I have built for little money... I likely will post more pics in the future of my new cabin, new greenhouse etc. but that will likely not be until the summer of 2018 and beyond.

Hopefully even make my own blog with many pics, info, updates and video.

IF any wish to see my private dirt road which was shown in the first pic in the first post of this thread about my inviting survialist / preppers to join me on one of the best survival areas that I know about then this vid shows my dirt road extremely well at one minute into this vid >

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnnlAS5Zzfg

and here is the nearby fishing lake - Battle lake about 3 miles to the west of my mtn place >

The following is what I copied and pasted here from the photobucket link and even though I can afford it I refuse to pay for many things on the net. Especially when I had those pics on my threads for five or more years for free. I think the internet should be like a free library with good and free knowledge. Unless someone has a book etc. to sell. I use imgur to post pics for the past couple years now anyway.
