![]() Happens to me all the time. It can be incredibly annoying.
I figure the jumping around must have something to do with the ads and how they fit on the page. Once I installed an ad blocker on my phone and PC it sure seems to have cut down on how much it happens. |

![]() Like Cornly2 said. It happened all the time until I got an ad blocker. Been a whole lot easier.

![]() It has to do with how long it takes the page to load. The fewer ads the quicker the load time.
The way to look at is that while you were reaching to click on something you wanted to see, the ads weren't finished loading so what you really wanted just got pushed out of the way by something the advertiser wanted to give a higher priority and that is what you ended up clicking on. Mark |

![]() Does it on my phone all the time and really annoys me. It is the never ending barrage of intrusive ads slowing down the loading of pages.

![]() Ahhh, ads! Thanks all, that would explain it. Got to put in some kind of adblocker then. Ads are everywhere nowadays. Got to listen to some somber faced dude talking about his mesothelioma or some ambulance chasing lawyer tell you he's gonna make you rich.

![]() Yes, it’s intentional. The don’t just study our psychology anymore, neurology is just as important in these days of technology.
I downloaded solitaire to my phone, they show you an ad before each hand is dealt. They put an X on the screen that you touch to close the ad and they put it in a different place each time, that buys them an extra second of play time per ad. They also put the white X on a light background to make it harder to find. Anything to bypass our muscle memory, which makes our actions faster, buys them more total ad playing time |

![]() I have an ad blocker on my phone which used to work well. Not so much anymore as ads are popping up. Especially on sites like Zerohedge. Not so bad on this site.
I know some ads seem to jump around as a page is moved. Some pages load slowly even after appearing to be done, not really as an ad just got clicked. Maybe it is a bit of both, depending on the page? |

![]() Speaking of Ad's do they entice you to buy that item. I don't know of any ad that has ever enticed me to run out and buy that item. I have never understood the mentality of People buying something from an Ad.

![]() Not really. Sometimes there is a product that I want to know more about, so I'll search for it elsewhere.
As a good example few weeks ago my parents told me about children's drone that an ad said was 50% off (normally 39,99 now 19,99). After about 5 minutes searching I found them in eBay for about $3-5 each. I think an exception would be some product that I would buy regardless and I would just see an ad where it is sold significantly cheaper than usual. Well, I actually did install an Xbox One S next to my TV last night, so yea... :D I've planned to get one for months but I've postponed it because it is not a necessity, so I grabbed one at Black Friday sales. |

![]() I have noticed that more and more sites are asking to unblock ads to use their site.
If I am forced to unblock to view, I just go somewhere else for info. ![]() |
