Saline is excellent to use on open wounds. When I had surgery on my breast thats what they had me do. You can also save making your own saline. My wound Dr. gave me the recipe to make it but it is also online. Saves a lot of $, I also use it on other wounds or open sores,

Have you taken any first aide classes? Downloaded any manuals? Got a FAK with some supplies/tools/gloves.

Knowing some first aide and having some stuff on hand can save a life, sometimes it could be your own.

I'm very found of colloidal silver. It can be made cheaply with minimal equipment and effort.
