Default SCOTUS halts Dem bid for Trump finacials

SCOTUS orders a halt to the Dem attempts to obtain the President's financial records. Hopefully the Court agrees to hear the case, which may either result in a complete win for the President, or at least delay this possibly until after the election so Trump isn't harassed.

The House has no inherent right to Trump's financial records. It might be different if they were investigating an actual crime, rather than looking for something they can misrepresent as a crime.

Regardless of what they say, the Dems will publish Trump's financial records in an attempt to destroy his businesses. The records will be leaked to the media and the Dems will claim no knowledge of how that hapened. It's predictable.

It CAN end, but only if Trump does what I keep suggesting.

Send in the Marines to capture the Deep State and put them through military tribunals.

I'm surprised they haven't made an attempt on his life yet, but perhaps they thought they could achieve the same result by their relentless made up allegations and inquiries.

Looks like the impeachment inquiry is backfiring on them, so that might explain the recent incident that looks like some sort of poisoning attempt was made on our President. Once they realize that using their "tools" on the President has failed, they may move to plan B.

If your taxes are clean and your enemies are dirty, what advantage does that afford you? Another Trump trap.

Hmmm. All this over an "audited tax report". Sounds like something in those tax forms is awry.

Oh, good grief.

Millions of people get audited. If you're a high level earner you're substantially more likely to get audited than someone who isn't.

A Multi-millionaire or Billionaire will have a tax form that's actually scores to hundreds of pages long, due to the complexity of income that large.
Don't blame the person, blame the code. The code itself is thousands of pages long... compliance to a single paragraph could take a hundred pages depending on the income stream, deductions, declarations, etc...

If you are a Billionaire, you will get audited every year. Period.
The IRS doesn't even know it's rules, there's no way they can understand whether someone with a complex, billion dollar multi-stream income that may cover multiple States, Nations and tax statuses is good or not without an in-depth examination.
Hence, the audit.

If the IRS had ever found a problem previous, it's been handled or doesn't exist. This is just another Commucrat fishing expedition to harass and distract our President.

Three year long audit?

Who is actually performing the audit?

Is every tax year being audited?

None of this makes any sense.

If that's the case, how come the IRS hasn't found it? They are the professionals not the Congress critters

Just like what they're doing with this impeachment crap

They'll take his tax returns and selectively spin and slowly leak to the media in order to make him look bad

This is dirty politics 101

if you call the IRS for tax advice, and you get bad advice, the IRS guy you talked to is not to blame

if you call the IRS twice and ask the same qustion you can get two different answers

which is why celebrities always have tax problems. imagine how many different sources of income Willie Nelson or Will Smith has.

you have to be a special kind of stupid to think a billionaire can fill out a 1040EZ and be done in an hour. if you put a hundred tax accountants to work auditing the presidents taxes, every one would find flaws, and they would not all coincide. you can bet the democrats will hold him accountabler for every imagined error, even if only one auditor sees it

If I could get the mic for ten seconds, I would point out that any congressman trying to get hisd hands on Trumps tax returns who has not published his own is a certified hypocrite

I think it's great, because we are on the downhill slide to election day, and every Republican candidate for the house can run against any seated democrat on the platform of:

What has this democrat controlled house accomplished in the last three years?

can you name one thing?

When companies get to a cretain size (As Trump's) they are under constant audit and if large enough they get an office(s) within the company to work out of. Depending on how Trump's company is structured, that would include him to. Even if he's just a billionaire with very complicated taxes, they get audited. So, yes..

Trump doesn't prepare his taxes himself. Trump has a team of CPAs that keep his taxes squeaky clean. That's the way it's done when you are wealthy. His tax filings are likely 500+ pages long.

Two sets of books are only used by petty criminals running small businesses. You are likely familiar with that concept, but it doesn't work with large businesses.

Trump surrounds himself with petty criminals to do his dirty work. Have you not been paying attention?

Bernie Madoff escaped an IRS audit for years. His CPA firm had only one customer. In that case it was simply a matter of keeping various folks in the dark and shoveling BS between the front office and the well paid and loyal underlings.

Trump is an artist at shoveling BS and keeping people afraid of losing their jobs.

Once again, for those of you who seem to have a hard time coming to terms with the facts, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with any legitimate Congressional oversight. None whatsoever. It's the result of the President breaking from VOLUNTARY tradition over the last 70 years or so of releasing tax returns. He is not obligated to so why should he?

This is all about nosy Mis-Representatives looking for a crime or anything to support their ludicrous claims of Trump collusion with <name the country here>.

Anyone noticed that idiot Schiff STILL hasn't released any proof of all this collusion he said was there? This is all about the Democrats having to clean up their mess because that other idiot Clinton dropped the football.

No one has mentioned Thisbe yet, but how many CPAs are in Congress with either party? Better yet, how many have access to CPAs of the caliber that Trump has filing his tax documents? Lastly, even investigation are subject to the statutory limitations and authority of black letter law. Please cite the exact federal law code that authorizes thier investigation to access his tax documents from state or federal sources........

The . Exact. Federal. Statute.....over to you. BTW, you first.

One of the charges against Nixon was he used the IRS against his enemies. What Nixon did is no different than what the Dems are trying to do now, it's just a different branch of government.
